Have you flown with anyone from Mooneyspace? Did you meet online and fly or did meeting in person make you recall knowing them online?

I've met a few outside of the summit.  I had one contact me prior to a summit, and I messaged a few others that were passing through the area.  It's an oddly close knit community of plane owners in a good way.

One was "sizing" a Mooney (trial flight before a true plane search) and another was simply looking for Safety Pilot.  Another I first met locally and then determined in the course of conversation that they're also "here".

Wow, good question. I think it's a pretty long list. To count it, did I have to be riding in their cockpit, or is flying with them in separate airplanes, but close enough to fly off the other's Attitude Indicator count?

I've met of bunch of the reprobates who frequent this site.  Flown with?  Not at all.

Made me laugh.  One of my dad’s favorite words.  Usually uttered/muttered toward my friends and I.

I've had one in my airplane and I've ridden in another's airplane.  I've also flown in close formation with a few more.  If you count flying with them in the caravan, I'm sure it's over 21, but I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how many so I didn't count those.

4.

One I met here, he was looking to buy a Mooney but wanted a ride in one first, so I took him up.

The second one became a Mooneyspace member and then an owner after getting too know me through a mutual friend.

The third I met on the frequency. It was a quiet weekend night, I had only one aircraft in the sector I was controlling. It was a Mooney and I was in the market to buy one, so we started chatting. We've become good friends since, although he just recently sold his Mooney and bought a Baron.

The fourth is Clarence, but we've never flown together in a Mooney, just a bunch of times in his Comanche 400 which is an impressive airplane!

Last year I flew the Mooney caravan, I’m sure there were a large number of MS’s there. Other than that I would say I fly regularly with 7-10 of you. Hope to expand those numbers as the flight miles and Mooney family dinners go by. It’s hard to say how many I would only know through MS with social media so big. But I know I’ve learned a lot because of it. If anyone wants to meet up in the PNW hit me up...

I haven't flown with very many, but I sure have eaten with a bunch!!

@carusoam, @Alan Fox, @takair, @Skates97, @rbridges, @Mooneymite, several with the Mooney Ambassadors at the Indianapolis Air Show, a whole slew of folks at our Gatlinburg lunch / museum fly in, more folks than I can count at several Mooney Summits . . . .

Most of these glorious meals, some even away from airports (the Donut Hole!), we have all flown to.

I was trying to remember or find it but just couldn't. Figured you'd know it off the top of your head. Afterall, meeting him was about when you first regained your ability to remember :D

I’ve flown a number in my Comanche, their eyes usually water when observing the fuel flow.  The carpets get wet, should I worry about corrosion now?

0- for me, hopefully soon. Haven't been flying much at all the last couple of months unless you count vicariously thru everyone ON here and watching the ones around here.

Cant wait to get back home to the Mooney.......

I got to hangar fly with Patrick... a couple of phone calls while you two were organizing the first NJMP fly-in...

I so wanted to be there... :)
