First Acclaim off the assembly line day before yesterday.

I looked for a post I made before Mooneyspace switched over, stating something about Mooney not making another plane for a couple of years.

The absense is over!!!!!!!

Sticker prices won't apply until Airframe #2 is finished; #1 is up for auction to fund the Mooney Museum there in Kerrville. But you can bet it will be high! They were last $549K for NA, and $589K for Turbo, and that was five years ago, maybe six. Oops, I may be $100K low . . .

I am thrilled that Mooney is back in production.  Hundreds of thousands of dollars going into factory upgrades of equipment.  Nearly a hundred employees back to work making the best airplane in the world!

If only I could afford to play that game. There's always the Lotto, makes me happy to hear about any success stories of U.S. Aviation manufacturing I remember as a kid at Hayward airport and going into the different dealerships like they were selling cars. Average prices were under half a house now 3 times more. I hope they don't all go overseas. Interesting question if you could what would you buy?

Now if only Lasar would get finished with my annual!!

They will get it done. Just takes a while to add up all those numbers. ;)

Makes my old plane look even older. I guess I need to start selling drugs instead of giving them away to be able to afford something newer then my 1961. :)

I feel the same way sometimes, but if your current plane meets your missions, then you've go the right plane for you.

Exactly... If your plane meets the majority of your missions, then it is the right plane for you. Trust me, I have tried to convince myself (let alone the CFO, aka my wife) a number of times how a plane that flies 20 knots faster than mine is worth it. If I begin flying over big rocks, or tougher weather, I will reconsider.

Have you started the pre buy on the 252 good luck I guess those are pretty fast birds. It would be nice to have one of those brand new Mooney's but I'm real happy with the one I own. Paid for all mine not the banks. And it scoots along pretty good.

Not yet I was supposed to look at it today but the seller was unavailable. Next weekend I'll look at it and submit an offer. If that goes then will send it to LASAR for the prebuy.

Went out to the Factory. Made a food delivery. Tried to go inside but the gate guard said no. :). You could see lots of activity. Its a great feeling.

A newer plane would be nice but I wouldn't want the payments. It was nice to pay cash for mine and only have to worry about the maintenance and upgrades. :)
