Nothing spectacular, 6R3 -> T82 (Fredericksburg, TX). But what was so special about this flight is that it is my first IFR flight! I passed IFR checkride yesterday and could not resist to get on top of the cloud layer. Flight back on Sunday, already filed IFR FLP for the return home.

Does it not show where i posted it?

See the two screen shots in the post right above yours…

One is a screen shot I took before searching for your pic…

The other is what the screen looked like where the pic was supposed to be… with no additional effort…

looks like a stripe of the pic showing…

There is some funk with the forum software that is doing this…

I let the MS guys know when I see one come through…

If you have any details regarding the pic and what you used to load it with… that may help…

I’m using an iPad to view it… now IOS15…

Of course, the pic in the original post is perfect as expected…

We’ll see if the software has been mended…  forum or IOS… :)

Best regards,

-a-

Had the most beautiful sunset coming back into the LA area Saturday which wouldn't have been possible without my recent IFR ticket. There was a very thin, maybe 500' thick layer at about 5,500-5,800' and the setting sun shining off of it. ATC took us down to 6,000' for a bit and we were just skimming the tops of the clouds until we were cleared to descend through.20211023_180010.thumb.jpg.d44a4d857b7fd0227598be9c379a7f4f.jpg20211023_181551.thumb.jpg.e04af91fd3fc82ac0367eed2992ca76c.jpg20211023_182001.thumb.jpg.84f9e2578805784d59f315539ad7918b.jpg

It has been a while since my last post.  So here is today.   Flight aware looks ugly.   The view from the window at FL270 is much better.   To be fair, I did have to climb through some ice and turbulence, but the view from the top is so nice.

KALW for coffee run at the roastery.  Walking distance from the fbo, even if you’re practicing your zombie walk!

They wanted us to park in groups by average TAS, so here we are.

Did some approaches and finished up the Wings phase I started last Mooney summit with Mike, @Rocket 305, our new local CFI. No pics, unfortunately.

edit… @Rocket 305 got some departure pics.  I was wondering who that suspicious character by the taxiway was…. Thanks, Mike.  I don’t get to see this perspective so often.
