Hello ,

Been troubleshooting a GTN750 which swaps comm frequencies without pilot action. What could cause this problem ? Have tried a different unit but still behaves the same.

Has anyone come across this?

Do you have a remote switch to do the flip flop? If so, there may be a problem with the switch or wiring.

Haha I got to say on the one hand a brilliant move having a push to flip, never seen that.  On the other hand lol how lazy can you be :-)

I haven't experienced that particular problem but did have a similar one a few years ago. When I pressed the display to flip the frequency, it immediately flipped back to the active frequency. This went on for the entire three hour flight and rendered the radio useless, requiring me to use COM2 the entire trip. After that flight, it never happened again. That's software for ya.

I have the com flip switch. And I also have a toggle switch on the panel and on the  right yoke to toggle through the memory frequencies. Push push push then flip

I think of it less as lazy, more of "I'm flying an approach in heavy turbulence and I need to switch to tower, and I'd rather not have to take my hands off the controls to hit the flip flop."

Ultimately, laziness is the true mother of invention,
