He just got rerouted around east side of tampa airspace, looks like into teeth of the weather, I personally would ask to fly around the west side.

I am amazed at @201er tenacity and endurance.  I’ve never had a flight over 600mi in my Mooney yet.  He gets extra stars in my book!   When I grow up I want to be like him.

Working around thunderstorms to Florida and back both times. At least a tailwind for the return. Instrument approaches at both ends. About 12 hours flying this weekend. 18 last weekend. Gonna need an oil change.

Philly couldn't send me to Modena yesterday for the first time ever. But they still managed to find some waypoints like SKITL and FROSE to get me as close to Modena as possible for the big loop around Philly instead of direct Linden. Things are busy around KILG

Dan is fortunate that his airport KILG is served by TSA. He can get out using the TSA process. Unfortunately, my airport is locked down. For us to get out during the TFR means we need to relocate our planes to KILG, KMQS or KOQN.

My biggest fear is they change the timing of the TFR while I am airborne. I’m constantly monitoring it when I am out.
