I have tried flying with the seat all the way back touching the back seat, past all the holes - I can fly that way ok, but it is a bit too far. One more hole would be just right. Quote

True - and that's when I also will sometimes put my seat all the way back past the holes. Also, I usually fly with no shoes on - I take them off and put them behind me. With no shoes it is easier for me to put my feet between the pedals deeper into the footwell when I am stretching out to be comfortable in cruise. (Separately I feel like I land better since I have better tactile feel of the forces on the pedals). 1 Quote

Are you sure you don't have rudder extensions installed? I am 6'4" with a 34" inseam. If I put the seat in the furthest back holes, I can't even reach the pedals if I pointed my toes forward. I wonder if these rails are different in the generations of our planes? Quote

OMG - I don't think so but now you have me second guessing myself - I think I would just about die from blushing in embarrassment if I do....how silly would that make me feel! In fact when I realized how far back the seats went, I was worried if I didn't properly secure it, I would have done one of those Cessna chair rides that I believe an AD came out on. Quote

My airplane is this week at Weber Aircraft and I actually contacted them to ask them if I happen to have pedal extensions installed. Nope I do not - and that is definitive. So I just have long legs. I have no worries of the seat slipping back since I have flown, landed, taken off and so forth the airplane that way no problem, although not quite as comfortably as at hole one...but I wish I had one more hole. 1 Quote

I just flew a short 2 hour XC yesterday and I'm kicking myself for not thinking about kicking back with my 32" inseams. I am contemplating the extension pedals so my much shorter girlfriend can reach the pedals when she finishes her private. Quote

In the M20F that I fly I have to use rudder extension pedals otherwise the yoke winds up in my chest and I'm way too close to the panel. At 5'6" it helps to fly in comfort. Fortunately a fairly cheap fix. At least a Mooney comes with dual yokes unlike most Bonanzas that I've flown. Quote
