So THATS why we have a 30% chance of rain tomorrow.

Today was beautiful VFR weather, gave a First Ride to a happy teen. (Please excuse my finger . . . )

Hey, look, the bottom is breaking off in Mississippi, we may stay dry tomorrow.

But one front from Ottawa to Houston is impressive, nevertheless.

Thanks for sharing. But thank goodness I fly a fast Mooney that knows no borders! I'll just deviate a few states south and into Mexico. Should only add another 15 minutes!! Lol's

That is probably part of what made a mess here the last couple of days. We've gotten ~12 inches of rain in parts around here, with flooding. I flew in to my home drome Thursday evening just as a storm moved into town...had to slow down to Cessna speeds and watch it move just off the field as I was flying the approach. efc3b9c98db22fba10813f9db2a7df03.jpg I wish I snapped a pic of the XM display too showing the storm track.

The weather has been slow moving with Hermine stalling off the east coast...

those radar returns seem to get artificially wider as it approaches around N57...? :)

We skirted along the beginning of that front on Friday and came back on Sunday after it dissipated. The Mooney made a weekend in the Smokey Mountains possible.

I was very close to the Smokies for Labor Day myself, flight time was 2:05 including my dodge around the ATL Bravo.

Anyone know if I set up the TAS page right? 149 knits seems optimistic for a C. The inky thing not showing is the OAT, which was in the mid-60s F, a little above 15°C.image.jpg

Looks like your AS is reading 124, not 128 and your baro setting is wrong on the 430, it should be 30.19, not 29.92, that will effect the DA. A error of the OAT of +2 degrees means your TAS would be 1/2 knot too high. With those corrections I calculate your TAS to be 143K

What Teejay says above. Also I find without accurate heading information that method doesn't work out too well; especially using s compass. You can apply your compass card deviation to help minimize the error- which I did not see?

Also, if that suction gauge is still working I'd check the vacuum unless you already know it's reading very high. 4.5" is what you want to improve longevity of your air instruments.

Your fuel pressure looks a bit low. I know fuel pressure in an M20C can fluctuate pretty low during initial climb out but I don't think it should be that low at cruise.

I guess M20Doc isnt the only eagle eye, we need a special forum to post pictures and have MSers diagnosis problems.
