I especially liked that line. I have a friend who says she won't fly because of the security lines, and she is not alone. Why would anybody in their right mind not take a nice trip because of the inconvenience of a 10 or 20 minute line. I'll take it even further - one hour. Are there really people out there that won't take a two week vacation (336 hours) because of a one hour line? That's like saying they won't do any Christmas shopping because the lines are too long, and you know that ain't true. Quote

At least 1 hour in line for a 3 minute ride. Last time I told my grand niece: "the best ride is the ride home" Tio José 2 Quote

It's the 5 minute to 1.5 hour line that makes you get to the airport early. It's the rules about the things you can't take that are made up the day you are in line. It's about the airlines monetizing everything. --pretty soon, they will charge $25 more for other than middle seats. I avoid flying commercial when ever I can. Most places, under 1000 miles, the Mooney can get me there just as fast and on my schedule. --That said, my next trip is Dallas Tx to Madrid Spain. I'm more than happy to fly commercial. P.S. I'd love to pick up this Eagle. I just need a super sale! 2 Quote
slowflyin Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 It's not the lines- it's my health. Dang if I don't pick up a bug more times than not when I fly commercial. 1 Quote

gsxrpilot Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 I almost made an offer on this Eagle. If you're interested in an Eagle, or an Ovation but can't spend the $200K, this is a great bird. In the end I decided I had to have a turbo and bought a 252. Quote

Flymu2 Posted November 22, 2016 Author Report Posted November 22, 2016 Price reduction to 150K for my Mooney friends. Not yet changed on TAP or other sales sites. BTW, flew it to Easton MD last weekend for formation training. A real hoot for those who are thinking about it. Quote

Flymu2 Posted November 29, 2016 Author Report Posted November 29, 2016 Love to. I have friends there. Problem is my girlfriend has a fulltime job in NYC that she can't take anywhere else. I know, ditch the girlfriend. It's not that easy. 2 Quote

Flymu2 Posted November 30, 2016 Author Report Posted November 30, 2016 SR22. I like the Mooney better, mainly for the efficiency. The SR22 is more comfortable, has the G1000, and of course the parachute (which is what sold my girlfriend). But, I'm a bang for the buck kind of guy (like most Mooney owners), and there's nothing better in this category of plane for that than the Mooney. Oh well, life is a series of compromises. 1 Quote
Jerry 5TJ Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 My wife likes the Mooney for our travel but wants a plane with bigger door, easier entry/exit and able to haul more rescue dogs and cats. She liked our Piper Mirage for those features. The quest for the Holy Grail -- the ideal airplane -- continues. Quote
