  1. Ad says it’s a 3GX but side of plane clearly says 2GX. I’m not a knowledgeable mooney guy, but is this correct? As a side note, I wish I had the budget for something like this.
  2. English looked pretty good to me. Sounds like a great plane, although out of my price range. Do you have any pictures to post on here?
  3. You may get a little more interest if you post some pictures
  4. Is this one still available? Any more panel pictures?
  5. My mistake. It showed sold on Ebay.
  6. Sold on eBay on 11/19/17 for $26,900
  7. http://www.planeboard.com/mooney/m20f/7nQSMtai I have nothing to do with this plane, it just sounded and looked nice. Price is even better
  8. As a controller, I would've told you about the helicopter. If I didn't know about the helo, and the pilot sees it and feels unsure, say something. Questioning doesn't hurt. It's your life on the line.
  9. Are you looking for a partner to buy a share of the plane or would you consider "renting" it out for an hourly rate? Either way I'm out, too nice of a plane for me and too far away.
  10. My 2nd generation iPad would always over heat. Sucks when you're using that for nav and not expecting it to go out. My 4th generation has yet to overheat, even under the same condition. Just my experience.
  11. https://www.aso.com/listings/spec/ViewAd.aspx?id=154662&listingType=true&IsInternal=True&pagingNo=1&searchId=25604242&dealerid= Maybe this one works.
  12. That's weird. Doesn't work on my phone either.
  13. Not 1050 but close. http://www.aso.com/Mobile#viewad/154662/235713
  14. Congrats. I remember a discussion about landing a long body vs a short body. What's your take?
  15. It's the ramp stance. That's why people assume they're small. I've sat in a very nice K model, thanks Mr. Muncy, which got me hooked and recently flew in a very nice E model, thank you Mr. Reed. I'm not a big guy but I'm not tiny. 5'9" 190lbs. Room was sufficient, about the same as the Arrow I am currently flying. About all you can expect from a small GA plane. Very comfortable and very fast. I've flown Bonanzas before and the only difference is how you sit "on" it vs "in" it. My opinion. Big selling point for me, the Mooneys do the same as a bonanza with so much less... (Engine and fuel)
  16. If mama aint happy, nobody is happy. Do your thing. Good luck with the sale. If you need someone to fly the plane for you, instead of it sitting around, I'm here for you.
  17. Compared to the prices I've seen on C's from a certain unnamed broker, this is almost a steal. I unfortunately have put my dreams of owning on hold for a bit, again.... Just out of curiousity, you say fast C, what do you flight plan for? GPH and TAS. Looks and sounds like an amazing plane.
  18. Every carb is prone to carb ice given the correct conditions. Symptoms: Reduced power and rough running engine and a drop in manifold pressure. Fixed pitch planes would show a drop in RPM I always run carb heat periodically during cruise and set it during pre landing checklist on downwind. I always turn carb heat off on short final just in case I need to go around.
  19. I believe they're required to be IFR if flying paying customers. I've heard that somewhere along the way during my career. Can't depart VFR and pick up clearance in air and can't cancel IFR until landing assured.
  20. Great looking plane. Anyone in the Fort Worth area possibly looking for a partnership?
  21. I'm sure someone might correct me on this, but I thought a spin could be entered during steep turns even if the turn is coordinated. Airspeed is key during steep turns. Increased bank angle increases stall speed due to increased Gs.
