2019 Hours

As usual, I post a year end survey to see how much we have flown for the year - I realize there are a few days left . . .

Due my Mooney being down for getting a new propeller, I haven't flown it since early August.  Otherwise I would have topped 100 hours in my Mooney.  I increased my overall time and flew less Mooney hours unfortunately.

I did fly a lot for Open Air this year in Cirrus SR22's.  Also, I rented one a few times for planned trips (like Mooney Summit).  Over 200 hours in SR22s this year.  

I also earned my Multi Commercial this year and have logged over 25 hours of multi.

I love Aviation and am thankful to have the chance to fly.

We've got a few more flights to make this year. We're flying BJC to COD today to visit Yellowstone. And then I've still got to get in a VFR day and VFR night (with CFI) cross country as a CPL prerequisite.

Only around 150. Had a lot of downtime this year for maintenance and other things. But I still managed a few big trips like out west, northern Canada, Oshkosh, and more. Spent a bunch of time prepping for and taking the Commercial ASEL.

Fortunate to have a great flying year, put 250 hours on the Mooney!

This was a great year for flying.  I finished the IR that I started in 1983 and flew a total of 123 h, all in our 1967 Mooney Mark 21.  This happened in 92 flights, the longest of which was 4.2h.   Flew her to Dalton, GA, today for her annual and some new shock disks.  Looking forward to a 'bouncier' 2020!    Happy New Year y'all!!!!

My 2019 numbers. The vast majority of my 40 non-Bonanza hours were Mooney hours (doing transition training or other training for Mooney pilots).

95 hours in 2019 - almost all of it was dual instruction given and this year promises to be even more, despite not owning a plane.

West Coast Trip- Sedona, Monterey, San Juan Islands

Also did some Angel Flights which were awesome!  Hope to fly more in 2020!

I bought my plane at the end of 2018 and in 2019 had 90.8 hours.  A little less than my goal of the "owned" 120 hours threshold.  48 flights, so average flight length 2.5 hours.  This is what the Mooney was made for!

 

Most exciting flight was definitely flying into OSH.   Was glad I had a relatively low first annual costs from DMax.

Paul, that sounds like a good New Year's resolution: "This year I vow to fly more."  I'll second that. 

I want to do three long cross countries.   I've talked with my co-pilot about trying to touch both shores in one trip.  Florida to the  Pacific Northwest and back via Arizona would be one.   I think I'll have a trip to Wisconsin.  We do plan to visit Gettysburg and Yorktown sometime soon (weekend trips).

I just got my renewal. Mine went down $166. I actually chose to increase hull coverage so I'm only paying a little more than $100 less.

I was quite please with 190 hours. Many (westbound) at/near 4.0 hours between Cincinnnati and Kansas City and eastbound always better. They’re time machines!
