  1. I did two legs last week. KLOU-KFFT and KFFT- KLUK. It was a great experience! I really enjoyed talking with the first responders. All the participating FBOs including Atlantic and Signature were awesome! Highly recommend if your schedule allows!
  2. Yes, unfortunately, I sold it. My kids have continued to grow and we needed a little more backseat room/ flexibility. Moving to a Bonanza A36. Will definitely, miss the Mooney!
  3. I ordered these two front seat covers for my Ovation in early April and decided to sell the plane before they arrived. Color is silver. They are brand new and have only been taken out of original box to photograph. Includes headrest and seatbelt strap covers. Original price from AeroSheep website $721. Sale price $599 plus shipping
  4. Great documentary capturing the passion of general aviation! Definitely worth $5 rental from Amazon Prime!
  5. I had just over 150 hours in 2019. Highlights: Exumas in March Nantucket- June Oshkosh West Coast Trip- Sedona, Monterey, San Juan Islands Also did some Angel Flights which were awesome! Hope to fly more in 2020!
  6. Awesome! We are planning the same trip in March except landing Grand Case(TFFG) on French side of St. Martin. Final destination is St. Barth’s! Contemplating getting training with local instructor to fly into St. Barth vs. leaving plane at TFFG and taking charter or ferry. I was also planning fuel stop at Provo. I will be very interested to hear your experience! Safe travels!
  7. Another cool paint correction video from Aviana!
  8. I bit the bullet and paid the extra dollars to have the new units waiting at the shop when I dropped the plane off. They completed the exchange in a few hours. I just got back from a week long trip to the west coast and San Juan islands( I'll post a report in Vacations). The new units are great! The colors are more vibrant and refresh rates are much faster. They also boot up faster than the old units. The audible announcements for "minimums", "terrain", and "altitude" are also an improvement!
  9. I got the same memo! Hoping to get the exchange done prior to Oshkosh!
  10. Thanks for organizing this great event! My son and I will be there! Tags: Mooneyman Luke
  11. He has a lot of videos on his youtube channel that document bringing older paint back to life. I actually read about his work doing paint restoration on Tom Haine's Bonanza A36 in AOPA Magazine. I don't have personal experience but his work appears impressive. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe59X7aDfEC5d7-zeTnwrBg
  12. This is a great video documenting paint correction and ceramic coating application on a Mooney!
  13. My son and I frequently take our Boosted Boards on our adventures! They weigh 17 lbs each and fit nicely in the baggage compartment of our Ovation. They are awesome for getting around the North 40 at OSH. They are also great for getting around Manhattan. The bike path along the westside highway is amazing! We have folding bikes also but they are a little more difficult to get into the Ovation. The Boosted boards are easy and so much fun to ride!
  14. We just returned from Staniel Cay in the Exumas! Beautiful little island with lots to see nearby! Definitely hire a local boat captain to take you to Thunderball grotto, pig beach, iguana beach, and Compass Cay! Runway at MYES is in great condition but strong cross winds prevail!
