After the panel was completed, as in my previous thread, my '64C  arrived at Aero Comfort in SAT for the upholstery install.  Hector and crew did their magic and I can't be happier with their work.  Time to just fly the plane and enjoy going some places.

Regards,

Don

Fantastic! Makes me wonder why I want to own a "newer" airplane, when a vintage model can be made to look just as good!!

I'm sure mine will never look as fine as that. You should be very proud of the results. One of the things I like most about airplanes is that the old ones are some of the most beautiful

Thanks.  I think every one of our backwards tailed planes are works of art and they all look pretty fine compared to brand P's and C's.

Does Aero Comfort do their own panels? Or do all these interior shows get panels from suppliers like Airtex?

They take your existing panels and first repair them then cover them with leatherette. Looks fantastic.

This looks great! That's actually about the same color I wanted to do my new interior in as well. How long did it take for them to do everything?

They can usually do it in 2 weeks once your plane arrives.  Scheduling ahead of time is critical for this to happen as they stay pretty busy.  I pulled all my old upholstery ahead of time during my panel upgrade and delivered it to San Antonio.  Since the panel took several months, they had the new upholstery ready and waiting for my plane to arrive and installed it in 3-4 days.

That's not too bad. I'm trying to decide if I want to go this route or have a local auto upholstery shop re-do the seats. The question would then become who and where to have the rest of the interior done. Not to mention I don't think the auto upholstery dealer would be able to do something nearly as nice as this.

My friend had his Cirrus interior done the same way at a different shop. It's a nice result.
