Yetti Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 There is always that uncle at the christmas party. All his guitars are named. I am not much into naming things. Anyways the plane got named last night. Al is the new name of the plane. As in Al Mooney. 1

kmyfm20s Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Aren't they supposed to be female names? 1
kmyfm20s Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Not to offend any female Vic or Al's out there. 1
kmyfm20s Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Then again it could be short for Victoria and Alison.
FlyDave Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 If I named my plane it would have to be "Don Corlene" because every time I go into the hangar he "makes me an offer I can't refuse" 3
N33GG Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Every plane I have owned has been Jane, as in Sweet Jane...tribute to the late great Lou Reed.
Mooneymite Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 My plane's name changes often. I've called it all sorts of things during annuals while laying on my back removing the belly panels! 6

Pritch Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 My last plane was Baby, a friend named his 182 Precious because when you own a plane you have precious little money for anything else.

Yetti Posted December 24, 2015 Author Report Posted December 24, 2015 "expensive" and "500 dollah a month" were voted down as candidate names
bradp Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Ours is named Dee Dee. It's an evolution from a remark about the 1970's era paint colors. Name stuck. Happy with it. Dee Dee has gotten us many places safely.
DXB Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 My C rolled off the line in Kerrville right about the time The Graduate came out. So I was thinking "Mrs. Robinson." It's definitely the older woman in my life, and still has the looks to be a hot Cougar . 3
steingar Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 I got mine in a trade, hence the moniker Lucky Strike.
Marauder Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 Aren't they supposed to be female names? They are. Mine is Vickie. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Houman Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 Mine is my 3M, as in My Metalic Mistress...think of it, I was only able to get it once I got ride of the wife (in a divorce, not the Don Corlene way of getting rid of)
Jeff_S Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 My Warrior was named Jugs because right after I bought it I had to remove a cylinder to have the exhaust studs repaired. My J never really got a name that stuck. I haven't really tried to name the Ovation but I could call it The Big O because every time I fly it...well, you can fill in the blanks!
kerry Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 The previous owner called my plane Delores. Ive keep the same name going.
kerry Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 My other plane is a Bakeng Duce which is topless so I named it after a stripper I met in Vegas. Just kidding of course. 2
