Nice Plane! Great price! I would ask about the "?" marks on the entries, borescope the cylinders on a pre buy, and fly it with pride. Anybody looking for more of a reduction on this plane would have to ask Jimmy Garrison why the seller laughed in his face.

Brian Kendrick is currently doing the annual in San Marcos and can answer any questions about this plane.  Brian was the Chief Inspector at the factory in Kerrville and was my factory contact for the three trips there for repairs.

I think when you get in the $130K plus range with a plane the pool of potential buyers is extremely small.

It would be interesting to see some graphs of sell time vs price range.

I think we all need to accept the fact that as much as we all like to say how useful they are, they are nothing more than an expensive toy ,much like a motorcycle, and there are less people with the desire and extra money necessary to experience it. Although I enjoy it, many times by the time I get to the airport and do all that is needed it is easier to drive and be assured I can come and go as needed.

Not to mention, driving is almost always a lot cheaper.

Yes the screaming eagle 310 hp from Midwest increases the gross to 3368 same as the Ovation. This AC may have the upgrade but not the STC Buyer beware.

Do the Screamin' Eagle conversions not come with a GW increase?  That useful load is terrible!

868 LB?  So full fuel and one pilot?

I once saw an Acclaim for sale that was loaded... TKS, A/C, long-range tanks, etc. and the useful load was <800 lbs IIRC.   I couldn't believe it was even technically legal to deliver such a plane since full fuel would require a ferry permit for even a 100 lb pilot.

I wouldn't be surprised... I'm shocked that Mooney could never figure out a way to get another GW increase instead of letting the line "devolve" into 1-2 person airplanes.  Alternatively, they could've tried to squeeze weight out of the airframe... (Beech is doing that now!)
