RoundTwo Posted June 19, 2023 Report Posted June 19, 2023 Weather permitting, we’ll be heading from Georgia to MooneyMax on Wednesday. Turbo, our 3 yo Lab, will be traveling with us too. He did really well getting to Lexington for the PPP earlier this month and this will be his longest trip yet. If you see him/us, please please stop us and say hi. I’d love to meet all the MS’ers that are going. If you forget my name, that’s ok, but Turbo will make sure you don’t forget him; he loves everybody. I hope to see you there. Chuck 3 Quote

I’ve been looking for something for my dog bravo. Quote

Rex Specs Ear Pro We tried several hard-shell variants but they all simply slid off of his head. He tolerates these pretty well. Chuck Quote
hubcap Posted June 19, 2023 Report Posted June 19, 2023 Mrs. Hubcap and I look forward to seeing y’all again this week….and Turbo too! Quote
Pinecone Posted June 19, 2023 Report Posted June 19, 2023 I am looking forward to putting faces to names from MS. I was going to head out on Wednesday, but progs are not looking great. So may blast down on Thursday Quote

I am the nominal host for the dinner one night. And I will bring a couple of my wares to peddle, for anyone that might be interested. (Visors and cabin light timer). But you will have to chase me down. I will try not to be hard to find for any of you that haven't met me in person. 1 Quote

Isn't that redundant? We'll just have to call them Acclaims if there are two of them 1 Quote
MBDiagMan Posted June 19, 2023 Report Posted June 19, 2023 I have a much more grueling flight than you. I will be going 45 long nautical miles from Mount Pleasant. Seriously though, I look forward to meeting you and Turbo. Quote

Well - here's how Bravo got his name - he's a 7 month old White Samoyed - and we picked him up from the groomer in late Jan. The groomer had named him Boris and we were thinking if we would change his name - his name is still Boris on the official AKC paperwork. Since my plane is N314EB - Ech Bravo - I was talking to ATC and my wife said - let's keep Boris and call him Bravo for short. He's got a lot of fuzz - so I have tried two different plastic headsets - which immediately slide off. I bet this Rex thing will work - if Bravo will wear it. Ill post a pic when I get a chance of my big boy puppy. Quote
ilovecornfields Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 I think Snoopy must be Turbo’s normally aspirated distant cousin. Also a 3 yo black lab. He’s grown accustomed to a certain degree of pampering so I had to remove one of the back seats so he could spread out. He actually really likes his Mutt Muffs. 2 Quote

We try very hard to not spoil Turbo. We don’t want him to lose his vicious edge. 1 1 Quote
Pasturepilot Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 Are we all gonna have our MS usernames on our name tags? Feels like we should. Launching from the Atlanta area may be a tricky bit of timing in the morning. I moved my bird to CTJ yesterday evening to launch from a paved surface. The home strip is likely to be a muddy mess tomorrow morning. Draining gatorade bottles now in preparation for the 3:30 nonstop. I'll leave my pets at home though.. everyone loves to scratch a pup's ears, but nobody really enjoys when a hen just stands there and poops on their shoes. See y'all in Longview. 1 Quote

Pinecone Posted June 20, 2023 Report Posted June 20, 2023 I was going to wait and do it non-stop on Thursday. But with the progs, I need to leave tomorrow and fly W/NW and then south. Not sure if I will go non-stop or do an over night stop. I will decide later. It seems they are set up for arrivals on Wednesday and the hotel shuttle will be running. Quote
