...speaking of pucks and with no intention of hijacking this thread...mine have been there forever (hard to read the date since they have been spray painted who knows when...). Since it's time for the annual we thought it's time to replace them. So...where's the best place to buy new pucks and rent the installation tool?

I replaced my when I had my first annual... my mechanic pointed out that the date stamped on them was 1967!

I got them from Spruce, they were $0.50 cheaper at Chief.

I could land smooth with blocks of wood in there. The pucks are there for tough runways not my landings!

I was blissfully oblivious of the date stamp on them until reading this thread.  Checked this morning... mine say 11968.  I’m guessing thats Jan 1968 on my 1968 M20F.  They still seem ok.  Is that possible?!  There’s 11 of them, so that’s nice and expensive.

I remember the quote being four digits. Like 0168 or 1298. I think I have a picture somewhere showing what it looks like. I’ll see if I can find it.

That's how mine were, "0969" for June 1969. Anything longer may be part numbers, manufacturing codes, etc.

IAN201 posted his new discs in 2017. It is the 4 digits after the “M” which I think stands for Manufactured. It’s upside down but the date is January 2017.

11968 is the Lord part number

Oh thank god!  I’ll look closer and find the right date stamp.  Thanks for the picture!  That part number sure looked like a date for a 1968 Mooney!

The date stamp is not the easiest to read. Is easier if you take a picture while you're down there and then make the picture bigger.
