Military operations making ADS-B, TCAS 'Unreliable' In Southeast In September

Recommended Posts

Nice looking mooney!  Saw yours out on the ramp on Saturday as I was getting ready to go.  Mine's the missile in the big hangar if you're interested in taking a look.

Sorry I didn't get to meet up.  The mom in law had a huge honey do list. The only time I came into town was to go to Grovers or the big R farm store.

 Thank You AOPA.

I hate to say it in such a straightforward manner, but having been military and civilian both I have seen seen it for decades now:

Some people don't have the right type of Character to correctly administer power and authority entrusted to them. Non-elected officials like government beaucrats can be the worst. Power-drunk, thoughtless of others, and not soliciting input from others outside their own office to make good decisions - are traits which develop when power and authority is given to a person with the wrong character or inadequate experience. ADS-B is one example, the program, the mandate ... Just like government  beaucrats to issue a mandate costing aircraft owners thousands of dollars ... and not even blink an eye. Heck, those SOBs don't have to pay for it, and they have no problem whatsoever placing that burden on our backs. And think WE PAY THEIR SALARIES!

Certain military peers of mine, became hated by their units once they were given a command. "Little Hilters" they were called. Even some sergeants could be like that.

In the civilian world, I have found  airline management to be perhaps the lowest, lacking ethics, eager to dictate policy from their comfortable Monday- Friday office job in HQ,  totally disconnected and insensitive to the people who are out there really doing the job, working nights, weekends and holidays in bad weather and sometimes getting minimal rest.

We have to continue to monitor the FAA, CBP (IRS) and these other agencies, because they get, "full of themselves," and can get out of control pretty quick. They need to be brought back to the real world on a regular basis!

Geez, Dave, I wish you wouldn't sugar coat things. Tell us how you really feel!
