Mcstealth Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 First Acclaim off the assembly line day before yesterday. I looked for a post I made before Mooneyspace switched over, stating something about Mooney not making another plane for a couple of years. The absense is over!!!!!!! Df 5 Quote
rbridges Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 that's awesome. I wonder what the sticker price is? Quote
Hank Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Sticker prices won't apply until Airframe #2 is finished; #1 is up for auction to fund the Mooney Museum there in Kerrville. But you can bet it will be high! They were last $549K for NA, and $589K for Turbo, and that was five years ago, maybe six. Oops, I may be $100K low . . . Quote
LANCECASPER Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Here's the latest price list: http://www.mooney.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/2014-Acclaim-and-Ovation3-Price-Sheet.pdf Quote
carusoam Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 How long have xenon lights been standard? 310hp STC not available on Acclaim.... Questions that. Come to mind, -a- Quote
manoflamancha Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Not bad considering that a fully loaded Cirrus SR22 GTS costs same. Don't know about you guys but I'd much rather take a new Acclaim over the Cirrus. 3 Quote
mooneygirl Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 I am thrilled that Mooney is back in production. Hundreds of thousands of dollars going into factory upgrades of equipment. Nearly a hundred employees back to work making the best airplane in the world! 3 Quote
cbarry Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 The "N" should be LZRS1--short for Lazarus rises! The great Biblical story about perseverance! 2 Quote
Gone Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 How about NPHNX? "From the ashes.........." 1 Quote
bonal Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 If only I could afford to play that game. There's always the Lotto, makes me happy to hear about any success stories of U.S. Aviation manufacturing I remember as a kid at Hayward airport and going into the different dealerships like they were selling cars. Average prices were under half a house now 3 times more. I hope they don't all go overseas. Interesting question if you could what would you buy? 1 Quote

manoflamancha Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 If I won the super lotto, I'd get a new Acclaim S, Pilatus and Extra 300 for acrobatics. Quote
dfgreene61 Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Looking at that price sheet makes me love my '82 J even more! Now if only Lasar would get finished with my annual!! Quote
Marauder Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Now if only Lasar would get finished with my annual!! They will get it done. Just takes a while to add up all those numbers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1 Quote
manoflamancha Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 The folks at LASAR are awesome. Very friendly, patient and honest from my experience thus far. I'm using them for prebuy on the 252 that I'm looking at. Quote
Wakeup Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Makes my old plane look even older. I guess I need to start selling drugs instead of giving them away to be able to afford something newer then my 1961. Quote

I feel the same way sometimes, but if your current plane meets your missions, then you've go the right plane for you. 3 Quote
Marauder Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 I feel the same way sometimes, but if your current plane meets your missions, then you've go the right plane for you. Exactly... If your plane meets the majority of your missions, then it is the right plane for you. Trust me, I have tried to convince myself (let alone the CFO, aka my wife) a number of times how a plane that flies 20 knots faster than mine is worth it. If I begin flying over big rocks, or tougher weather, I will reconsider. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 3 Quote
bonal Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 Have you started the pre buy on the 252 good luck I guess those are pretty fast birds. It would be nice to have one of those brand new Mooney's but I'm real happy with the one I own. Paid for all mine not the banks. And it scoots along pretty good. 1 Quote
manoflamancha Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 Not yet I was supposed to look at it today but the seller was unavailable. Next weekend I'll look at it and submit an offer. If that goes then will send it to LASAR for the prebuy. Quote
Mcstealth Posted May 25, 2014 Author Report Posted May 25, 2014 Went out to the Factory. Made a food delivery. Tried to go inside but the gate guard said no. . You could see lots of activity. Its a great feeling. 2 Quote
Wakeup Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 A newer plane would be nice but I wouldn't want the payments. It was nice to pay cash for mine and only have to worry about the maintenance and upgrades. 2 Quote
