Seeing that I joined MooneySpace in January 2009, nearly 5 years ago, and about six months after aquiring my first Mooney - a 1967 Mooney M20F, I have with this post reached the 1000 post mark.  I have learned a lot about flying, added about 800 hours to my log books, earned my IFR rating, sold my F and purchased a 1983 Mooney M20J Missile 300.  Over the last five years I've averaged 200 posts per year.  Here's a poll - how many posts do you have on MooneySpace?

Thanks again Craig, great website.  Thank you to all the members - great knowledge - I'd have a $100 burger with all of you.

Meaningful posts or did you mean meaningful polls???

There were about 100 members when I arrived. I had a newly minted IR and a small stack-o-cash (sold my C a year earlier). I was in search of a Mooney with an IO550 to go with the IR...

I have still kept up with reading every post and most associated links...

Unfortunately I don't remember them all anymore...

It's been great and insightful reading.

What I got from this group....that I would have never expected....

(1) I met some fabulous people

(2) trained with great Mooney specific instructors

(3) purchased an odd or end

(4) got some advice on the best engine and prop combinations for Mooneys

(5) technical details

(6) support when things became really challenging

(7) one guy I met, is the son of a guy I used to work with

(8) I found the NJ Mooney group

(9) I found people that share similar work or automotive interests.

(10) I found that I went from being one of the youngest guys with a Mooney to being right in the middle even though my opinions and memory make me seem like the oldest

Thanks for reading what I have posted, it's been my daily therapy.

3,450+

Best regards,

Wonderful site! Wish it had been around when I bought the plane as a newbie pilot in 2007. I spent lots of time on Mooneyland, trying to read the awful colors and absorb as much one-way information as I could. This site is much better (thanks for good color scheme, Craig!).

Thanks to everyone else for answering silly/redundant questions with patience.
