Niagara falls VTPC - Navcan fees

Hi, I tried to calculate navcan fees using their web page and choosing m20p as aircraft type between KMBS Saginaw MI and Buffalo, NY. It returned 0. Is overflight really free of charge?

EDIT: ADDITIONAL QUESTION:

Anyone know where I can get the Niagar Falls VTPC?  There are youtube videos that explain the procedure (which is fairly simple) but ... not really airworthy data.  Where can I just download/purchase this supplement?  Thanks.

I have heard that they only want money if you land, but you might try the model number of your airplane instead of M20P.

Nice! M20p and m20t are the only options. Also in US, we're supposed to use P and T. Piston or turbo.  They don't care about our petty fights between C models and J models

In case anyone is interested, vtpcs are not separate documents. Niagara vtpc is 2 pages in the Ontario vfr supplement.

Nav Canada will only charge you if you land in Canada, there are no overflight fees light piston aircraft.

It has been years, but I seem to remember getting a bill in the mail when I asked them on an overflight for a Wx update.  

I didn't mind paying, but I think they may charge for certain services, even if you do not land.  (Or maybe that has changed?)

While you're here: how can I verify the requirements for an overflight?  All this time I've thought just a valid ICAO flight plan would suffice, but I just want to double check.  In Europe (at least 15 years go) we had to note the citizenship and ID number of each occupant on the flight plan.  Should I still get a customs decal, in case an occupant needs to use the bathroom urgently?  It won't hurt to bring our passports with us.  Thanks.

@Bolter yea, I had found those resources, too, but the sectional mentions that specific VTPC so I had to see that.  It's in the Ontaio VFR supplement...

The FBO at Niagara had a stack of one-page printouts on the counter a few years back. I flew two and a half laps while my wife took pictures. Navigation is all by landmarks, how to stay on the U.S. side of the border, with fixed and rotor wings separated by altitudes.

I'm quite certain there has never been a charge for that. It may have been sent in error and I think you could have successfully disputed it.

See page 8, referring to aircraft under 6,614 lbs., ie Mooneys:

"A foreign-registered aircraft is charged on the basis of the first recorded arrival into a Canadian aerodrome or entry into Canadian airspace, excluding flights between two points in the U.S., during each quarter of the annual fee period."

You should not be subject to a fee for the flight described.
