Supercop0184 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 What's the bar called that holds the cargo door open? Yup. Mine got bend today, beyond repair. Tell me how to find a replacement and I'll be sohappy!! Thanks! Quote
Yetti Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Which half? At one of the ends? If at the end you could probably just make it shorter Quote
RLCarter Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Arm Assy, Hold Open (913020-2 is the part # for 1965 M20C). Mine was missing, so I used a friends to fabricate one seeing how I couldn't find one(didn't really spend much time looking) 1 Quote

Wakeup Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 I bought one from Don Maxwell for my M20B last year when I was getting another part. It was brand new. Quote
Guitarmaster Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 I bought a new one from a service center several years ago. Cost like $7 bucks... $7.00 ?!?! I didn't think anything on these airplanes was less than $1000! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Raptor05121 Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 Does he still have it for the same price? Mine is wanky and old, I'll replace it if its only $7! Quote

Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk Matt, it's a condition members of the CB club have that manifests itself in one of two ways. For me, it's usually when my wife asks "how much did that cost?" For some reason I tend to drop a zero off the end of the dollar figure. Or it may rear its ugly head when I'm trying to rationalize a purchase...say avionics. A $15,000 upgrade can be reduced to $1500. I'm quessing the part really costs $70 but MyNameIsNobody is suffering from said condition.... 1 Quote

MyNameIsNobody Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 It's a simple piece of metal with a rivet and paint. It was back in 2000 and I think it was Laser. They charge idiot prices cause people will pay it. I would not pay $100 for that part. No friggin' way. 1 Quote

I have had good parts experience with Wilmar, but I would have laughed in the guy's face at that one. Quote

Chocks Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 I can make as many as you guys need. You can install them yourself or have Texas State do the install if you feel the need. I'll get one made up on Monday and give you guys info. I'll make sure the price is right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4 Quote
gsxrpilot Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Try some salvage yards as well. I just got some parts from AirSalvage of Dallas. A note on that baggage door. With my C, I made it a point never to leave it standing open unless I was in the hangar. Any gust of wind could lift it, kick the leg out and slam it shut. It even happened once with my head inside the baggage compartment. 1 Quote
Chocks Posted August 9, 2016 Report Posted August 9, 2016 So a quick update; We were hoping to have the new machine dialed in this morning, but he needs a little more time with the head unit and the bits. So early next week I'll revisit this and get some made up. Sorry for the wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Hank Posted August 9, 2016 Report Posted August 9, 2016 The piece on my 70 model looks and functions just like the one under the door--linear slide with a few bearings, nothing folds. I'll try to get a picture soon. Quote
