peevee Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 I was thinking a questair venture might be a good alternative. Or a lancair 360. What about you? Quote
carusoam Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Faster, more efficient, safer, costs less and I don't have to build it. Whichever that one is. Best regards, -a- 4 Quote

gsxrpilot Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 RV 6/7 Comanche 250 Twin AirCam Assuming I have to stay within budget. Quote

I was thinking more along the lines of rv14, but the lancair is a little quicker. The comanche is just getting too old, hoping for fewer problems, not more. I like them fine otherwise. Quote
gsxrpilot Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 I like the Lancair a lot. But as Anthony said, I'm not gonna build it. And they don't come cheap after someone else has built it. I think I'd really like an RV14 but I'd have to wait for the tailwheel version to come out. And then someone will have to build it for me. Quote

They don't come cheap to build yourself either. I think they go for less than the sum of the parts for the 360, not so much the 4 it's all dreaming until I can offload my 231 share which could take years anyway Quote
M20F Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Definitely a Bonanza which is better than Mooney's in just about every area other than economics (hence why I own a Mooney). 2 Quote

A tornado alley bo would be just about perfect aside from the fuel. 3 Quote
tony Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 I was actually looking for a Beechcraft Debonair when I found my Mooney ....... 1 Quote
Parker_Woodruff Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 I don't have a Mooney (since August 2013). I would have a Mooney. If I had a Mooney but had to trade it for something and also received a large sum of money to help with the purchase, I would buy a Cessna 206 on Wipaire amphibious floats. Quote
kmyfm20s Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Aerostar or a 210. I don't fit in any of the Beech planes but on paper that would be the next best plane. I hit my head on the roof, to keep that from happening I have to turn around the rear club seating so i can recline enough but then I feel like I'm on a tall lawn chair leaning backwards. Not very comfortable. Quote
Mcstealth Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 For my current Mission, an RV-10 If a higher budget, TBM Quote

Shadrach Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 C185 Globe Swift or Lopresti Fury if they had actually built it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9XIusps1SDc Something that that preferably has the wheel on the tail though I'd not kick a GIII out of bed. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qP_XkRo-sW8 Quote
Chocks Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 If I was forced to choose it would probably be an Aerostar, Globe Swift or Cherokee 250. I love a Meyers 200D but its too much work to maintain it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote

I have all of the LN tools for the job if you'd like to borrow them. I am personally acquainted with 2 cars that grenaded with <60K because of IMSB failures. Quote
Hank Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 I'd have a lot more road trips under my belt! Quote
