  1. I had mine down at Hawk as well. They did a fantastic job.
  2. go buy a hand vacuum pump with a gauge, disconnect the vacuum lines at the turn coordinator, and start looking for leaks.
  3. I suggest you read and adhere to note 24 in the TDCS (2A3), then you're good to go.
  4. I know the waiting list for a T hanger at KVPC is ten years. KCTJ is about three years. I think they are building new hangers at KJZP. Good luck with your search. If you're lucky enough to find one, you need to secure it now.
  5. a note in the log book is sufficient. a form 337 is for a major alteration or modification.
  6. that's why I have one of these..... http://www.mooney201.de/files/M20-196A.pdf
  7. The end of a legacy...very sad. Kudos to the engineers, technicians, pilots, and factory workers who made this aircraft possible.
  8. I wish you wouldn't post things like this.. The factory will see it and turn it into a Service Bulletin, then the FAA will freak out and turn in into a fix before flight AD...... but you found it during an annual didnt ya?
  9. So the SB, made the IA go look at the weight? Based on your description were these annuals or a paper work exercises?
  10. That exactly right, this is an annual issue, nothing more.
  11. so the IPC is wrong....and thats an FAA approved document.
  12. You could put that in the AD. Quality escapes, along with ADs need to be bounded.
  13. Ross, the factory should have the as built configuration of every serial number. If they don't, I hope the MIDO fines them. The AD is way to broad. It puts the burden on the operator, and none on the manufacturer.
  14. an AME is an Aviation Medical Examiner. I think you want an A&P......
  15. If your going to change the oil at 25 hours, why don't you see what a multi weight oil does for you before you start doing anything?
  16. Congratulations Scott. Is this going to be the retirement home? Is it near Wichita or would you be making the pilgrimage back home?
  17. I think we all need to support chief before spruce buys them up too......
  18. I thought he would. So he'll throw an 8110 on the engineering documenting the mod for your serial number right?
  19. the last overhaul I had done, the shop replaced the cam and lifters with DTC parts from Lycoming. The shop told me this is Lycoming solution to galled cams and that Lycoming guarantee's them. I just smiled and said, we'll see.......
