  1. Would prefer low/mid time since OH , but will consider all offers . PM with what you got - thanks!
  2. Follow up : Turns out that the GIA63 2 LRU needed to be de-racked, connectors cleaned and Voila, problem gone ! I suppose that since these LRUs live in the rear fuselage are more prone to cold & humidity . Thanks for the assist !
  3. Thanks guys for the ideas. Just to be sure, I did cycle the E-buss switch multiple times and noted no change, which kinda leads me to believe that it might be related to the e-bay switching / relay. I got a PM (thanks Deb!) suggesting that if the GIA63 II goes off-line that it will drag down a bunch of of other appliances with it, so will defiantly have a look at the GIA. Any other ideas welcomed !
  4. So out of the blue (last flight was uneventful no problems w the avionics) , on start-up, the COM II, AP, elec. trim and DME are all flagged inop, see photo. Checked all the obvious things, breaker, E Bus, etc., etc. , nothing anormal found. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the Emergency Bus, since switching the E-Bus takes both the COM II and the AP & trim offline. Any ideas where the E-bus relay is mounted ?
  5. Yes they are . That said, since there are a lot of scammers working this site, so you will need to give me some information about yourself or better yet a cell number and I'll call you back .
  6. I use a small digital volt-meter plugged into the cigar lighter to monitor the bus voltage. That's how I know when the alternator goes off-line and comes back on again.
  7. Looking at the Wiring Schema: THere's an optional Over-Voltage Relay , but I'm not sure if it's installed. Where would it typically be installed ?
  8. is the field braker tripping? NO is there a over voltage event taking place? THERE IS NO OVER-VOLTAGE RELAY done any trouble shooting yet? JUST ADJUSTED THE VR VOLTAGE AS DESCRIBED either way i would find the Power Plane trouble shooting guide and follow it to a T THE PP TT GUIDE DOES NOT COVER THIESE SYMPTOMES
  9. This is a '65 M20E that I installed a Plane Power alternator and solid-state regulator under the STC. All was well for at least 6 months but now the alternator goes off line as soon as the RPM goes over 1500 rpm, or so, then comes back online as soon as the revs drop back down less than1500 . I checked the VR and all looks well. Then I made a small adjustment to the VR's pot to decrease the voltage, now the alternator goes off-line >2,000 RPM and comes back when the revs drop back under 2,000 rpm. There is no sign of an over-voltage relay on this plane nor in the electrical schema for this year model. Anyone have any idea what would cause this ?
