The two of you are flying over Wisconsin above the clouds in October, she snaps a picture, and on Valentine's Day you get a valentine card in the form of a nicely framed picture. What a gem.

Congrats, what day is that my wife and I would love to crash your wedding. We were going to get married in a big hangar but the security was a concern. My wife loves to fly and ride on the back of my rice rocket. She takes care of programming the garmin and taking the photos out the window. In fact she is the one who said to me about getting into flying "you should just buy one and start flying" another thing she said is "we need a faster airplane" sweet words indeed.

Looking at another plane, my wife wants an air conditioned, turbo normalized A-36 with a porta-potty; or a TBM-850.

I haven't fully explained the ongoing financial ramifications yet.

That is great. I showed my wife in an attempt to make her jealous. She focussed on the words, "where it ends". Ugh. She's still an awesome wife. Before kids we flew all over the place and even today she would never let me sell the plane, even though she prefers not to fly, she know it makes me happy.

You know when,

She buys you an hour of training for your birthday without you knowing.

A couple birthdays ago mine bought me a couple hours of unusual attitude training

Ouch! please don't mention crashing and July 11th in the same sentence :( A great many of you know my beautiful bride Alice, who married me in the Pulminary Unit while I was recovering on July 28th.) She was instrumental in helping put Mooney Summit I and Mooney Summit II together. So how did we spend our Valentine's day? In Panama City Beach at Rocketmans 4 bedroom condo planning Mooney Summit III!

People have said I am very very lucky. Indeed I am.

Congrats Mhemperly!

My wife spent this Valentine’s Day with me and our two little girls (2-1/2 yo and 1 yo) crammed in our C model for 9 hours.  Battling headwinds and going from someplace warm to someplace cold. She didn't complain once.  The day before we battled headwinds for 3-1/2 hrs and had to divert due to a rough running engine (turned out to be a bad plug).  Still no complaints from her.  She did say we should start looking for a bigger plane.

Mine once bought me three introductory lessons, a logbook and the FAA Airplane Flying Handbook for my birthday so I could finally get it out of my system. That was 24 years ago. She was eventually my first passenger and has flown as my best passenger ever since.

Seize the opportunity!

My wife and I have been married for a couple of decades and while her attitude of flying is that she could take it or leave it, she always supported me in whatever I wanted to do, even when I came up with the hairbrained scheme of owning a plane.

When I first got my private license the first flight I took with my wife was to Ocracoke (short flight from New Bern,N.C.) . I owned a Cessna 150 at the time. The flight to Ocracoke was calm and we had an amazing day. On the return trip it was pretty bumpy and I looked at my wife and her eyes were closed. Concerned I asked if she felt OK. Her reply, "I'm fine. The way the plane  is rocking it just makes me sleepy. " If ever there was any doubt (and there hasn't been) that I had married the right woman it was long gone that day. Till this day the only problem she has when we fly is keeping her awake in rough weather. I really love my co-pilot.

A: She will not fly in a small plane.   B: puts up with me flying  C: When my partner in the Beech wanted out and he sold the plane(mutually agreement), she recommended I buy another and then liked the Mooney I picked.   D:  pays for my gas when doing pilots n paws flights.

That's why I've been married 43 years to the same woman.

On my birthday my wife got me one of those sporty collar shirts with a stitched on little mooney and below it, she had written "rocket man".

I,like my Sporty's polo with a little Mooney and our N number!

Love it. I have the same "problem." She fell asleep on her first flight with me and has been dozing off ever since.  When she's not reading as though she were a passenger in 22F :D
