That is great news.  I'm glad that Mooney will be there.

Who is planning to go to Oshkosh?  PM me and I'll send a copy of my registration so you can pick me up a 60tj anniversary T-shirt!  Also, someone should contact the factory reps so that they are there for the mass arrival and cookout.

Yeah, now I'm wishing I'd tried harder to get to OSH this year. There wasn't much in it for me. But I have a friend who is going to be there, and I just received my new re-registration certificate in the mail so maybe I can take out my old one and send it to him so he can pick up my shirt!

Got my plane back together, washed and waxed, meeting my CFII buddy tonight for an IPC, got my IPAD on the charger. Monday morning I'm setting the compass to 055 and flying to OSH!

I would guess that if you are coming to the MAPA Homecoming April 10-12, 2014 that the shirts might be available. I will try to find out.

I hope that those that do go, take lots of pictures of their display for us, particularly that 1955 M20!

Scott....I suspect the disorganized Mooney activities will be even more fun.

Take care on approach with the crazy departure tricks.

Likely so, Gary.  I'm going up with a local Missile owner in his plane (long story) and we're camping, but only for Friday night.  I guess we'll make it count!  Hopefully traffic will be light Friday morning as I expect/hope the early arrivals have already left and those that are there today are staying through until Saturday or Sunday.  We'll see!

Driving up to sisters (Beaver Dam) from Cedar Rapids tonight with my son in the Cayman.  Heading to EAA tomorrow for day.  Supposed to be a beautiful day.  Looking forward to it! Hope to see some Mooney drivers.  I will be sporting my Mooney Polo and DAK cap...That's Africa Corp for the Rommel non cognoscenti....if my son will be seen with me wearing it ;)

We left the Mooney Caravan camping area yesterday morning. (Was quite busy on the take off from OSH with one full hour delay before departure). Most of the Mooney Caravan guys have left. There were still a few there. I think it will be difficult to have the guys meet unless you set a time and location. (Could be the Mooney Company tent)

If any of you went to the Mooney tent and found an error in the Mooney history banner please let  me know. I will get you the address to send the correct information.  I can see quite a few off the top, but am no means an expert.

Today there will be a Mooney paint seminar at noon. We will be there at 10 and at 1 to talk about Ambassadors and the documentary.

Jolie:

Check the numbers for the F Model.  They had it listed as a 180 HP engine with a top speed of 128 knots.  That was the most glaring one for me.  The correct numbers are posted to http://www.risingup.com/planespecs/info/airplane349.shtml and http://www.pilotfriend.com/aircraft%20performance/Mooney/46.htm and http://www.pilotfriend.com/aircraft%20performance/Mooney/45.htm.

Good luck

Letft OSH yesterdat at 0900 on an IFR departure. About 15mins of run time before takeoff from the Vintage area near 36L end.

Had a speedy trip home.. Check out the ground speed at 8000 ft and 24 squared.  With 8.5 GPH, that computes to 24.9 Statute Miles Per GALLON !!

God I love owning a MOONEY !
