My just purchased 1965 C model has a RayJay turbo and can do 25000 apparently. What O2 systems do you guys use?

If you don't have bottles yet, one idea that doesn't cost too much is just to get several of the smaller medical bottles.  I don't know what the official size is, but you see them on little two-wheelers with 3- or 4-inch wheels.  Sometimes you see a bracket on a hospital wheel chair that's designed to hold one.  They are light enough and small enough to carry back and forth to the airplane.  Then you need the appropriate valve and regulator to match the bottle.  I think they frequently show up on ebay in almost new condition.  If you can get a prescription for oxygen, you can get refills at any medical store.  The O2D2 is expensive, but it drastically cuts back on the amount of oxygen you need to keep your saturation in the 90s when you are flying in the high teens or low twenties.  If you go above 18,000 I think you are required to use a mask instead of a simple cannula.

I use one of these portable ones

I found one on craigslist for $350. Works great keeps me at 95% up to 15k. I haven't tried it higher than that yet but I saw online they work well up to 18k. Super easy, pretty new pilot so I don't have any experience messing around with bottles and refilling but that seems like quite a pain.

I also have an Aerox D size (I think) bottle that I am willing to sell with the regulator and cannula setup.  My new plane has built in so no longer needed.  The o2d2 system is really nice (I have that on my new airplane).  You could likely upgrade this bottle with the o2d2, but i used it with oxymizer cannulas and it worked well.  I found a local welding gas shop that filled bottles for CAP and would do mine for $30.

You’ll likely find your sweet spot is in the mid teens, so cannulas will be good.

This is a good option too if you just want one person.  I used it with two people and it wasn’t great above about 14k.  You do need to figure out the power issue though because the battery it comes with is ~2 hours and it is like 10amps on 14v cigar lighter which blew my cb.

A bottle is a bottle, a mask is a mask, a cannula is a cannula.  Don’t over think it.

I can fill my bottle (Precise Flight) for $50 which lasts me a year.  That’s 21yrs to get ROI on a demand conserver.  That being said I have the X something thing from Precise Flight because I have more money then sense.

BE CAREFUL AND LEARN ABOUT HYPOXIA- IT CAN KILL YOU

Nose campanulas are only legal to 18,000' Above that it takes a legal mask

Playing around above 18.000' should be done with care and high altitude training

Go find one of those 'Tent" mixed gas training seminars and learn about hypoxia and

YOUR bodies reaction to it BEFORE you play around up high

This. And @Jamildmc if you’re going into the FL’s, it is very wise to have a standby O2 source (and another human) in the cockpit.  I consider the factory O2 system in my plane to be among the most fragile systems and most prone to failure: multiple tubes, valves, connections, some in motion. And the failure mode can be very insidious: many have just fallen asleep.

Mountain High used to sell a set of three 8” pony bottles with a regulator and mask.  That’s what I carry. There are others available. Pulse oximeters are cheap and mandatory IMHO.  I carry 2+ my Apple Watch.

Im seldom above 17,000 because the mask is a hassle and the extra 4-6 knots aren’t worth it for me.  Also, if your plane does not have pressurized mags, you are at risk for arcing and misfire at altitude. The thin air in the mag is an easier path for lazy electrons than is the pressurized air in the cylinder.  This WILL get your attention.

Thank you guys for some great advice! I’ll update what I end up getting.

Unless you are among the 232 freaks of nature that have climbed Mt. Everest WITHOUT using supplemental oxygen!!!  I just cannot wrap my mind around how that is even possible!:o

Well, how many died trying that?

Some people adapt from climatization better than others, and are just physiologically better suited for it.  There are often the outliers in the baro chamber or PROTE tests that do well even without aclimatizing, so, yeah, it's just weirdos.  ;)
