a while back, I asked for advice on panel choices / options for M20J, this is the original topic link:

I have looked at various recommended options but finally landed on Dynon HDX. I didn’t want to have incremental improvement (GI275s), I am willing to wait for Dynon autopilot as I have a functioning Century IIB and I didn’t want to spend the amount that similar Garmin installation would require.

The installation was done by @Jesse Saint and his crew. They created a completely new panel with all required engravings, managed to fit 10” HDX configured with engine monitor, ADSB in/out, added new audio panel (PMA 450B) and mounted another (new to me) GNS 430W. Century IIB required to keep AI, HI and vacuum. Those are temporary mounted in the space prepared for 2nd screen. The setup is already wired for 2nd HDX and AP.

In anticipation of question, why 2nd GNS 430W, because it was the cheapest option for GPS/NAV/COM.

and now some pictures,

Looks great!  A very clean installation.  I like how you are keeping functioning equipment (autopilot…) and suspending the second HDX until the Dynon AP is ready.  Also, the GNC430 is workhorse of a unit!  Are you considering replacing the 430s when the second HDX and new autopilot is installed?

Great pirep for Jesse Saint!

I got to visit his shop a couple of years ago… where they had one of these displays on display….   :)

Here’s the pic, rotated… cut and paste with the others if you like…

Best regards,
