J0nathan225 Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 Well I sold my previous M20E 4 months ago, told myself I should save money... Well I did that for 4 months so let me introduce my "New" to me Mooney, it's a 1964 M20E with nothing I can really think of upgrading (so far). I'm excited for my cross country trip at the end of the month to pick it up! 20
TonyK Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 Very pretty. Congratulations on the new to you ride! 1
tigers2007 Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 What is the brand and model of that AI next to the Aspen? I’ve never seen that before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
carusoam Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 Tigers, you don’t recognize the sheep in wolf’s clothing..? https://www.bendixking.com/en/products/aeroflight Way to go Johnathan..! If saving for four months got you all that... it looks like somebody’s forever-Mooney... Congrats. Best regards, -a- 1
Hank Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 Cool! We need more Mooneys in LA!! And it's a pretty one . . . . 1

Best regards, -a- Sure hope it will be my forever Mooney now Correct call on the AI300 BK, I believe. Apparently it cannot be backup AS,ALT, VS. Even though the new one can display them, it would be for reference only. I suppose I've gotta keep some "steam" gauges to keep it vintage anyways. 1
MIm20c Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 We need some old and new picture to see the transformation...probably a faster, and cheaper, way to upgrade an E model.
Bob_Belville Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 Jon, what a great looking vintage E! And what a well done panel. Stec30? Can't wait to see it. (The control knobs, throttle, mixture, prop, appear to be original. Make sure they're in good shape - according to McFarlane they should have been replaced years ago. https://www.mcfarlaneaviation.com/media/documents/extend-the-life-of-your-mcfarlane-throttle-control.pdf )
Jim Peace Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 Looks great. I like the paint job and colors. Like everything about the plane. Where will it be based?
Jim Peace Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 do Aspens make it so you do not need a VSI?

RogueOne Posted August 15, 2019 Report Posted August 15, 2019 What a gorgeous Mooney! As much as I love, well everything, the seats and paint are special. ENJOY!
DAVIDWH Posted August 15, 2019 Report Posted August 15, 2019 Just wondering, Would the previous owner's name happen to be "Larry The Cable Guy"??
