Dream to fly Posted February 22, 2019 Report Posted February 22, 2019 That's been my backyard for months. Glad when I was in Mesa two weeks ago I didn't see that. I would have lost my mind... Sent from my E6810 using Tapatalk Quote

I was trying to fly a low level route that starts up near northern Phoenix, winds up towards Prescott, then works west and south past havasu... the taf’s said it all... OVC005 -sn fzfg. Ended up just flying down to the sells airspace and was able to work below 5000 after entering the AAHL complex. Coming back was a treat... ice between 170-110... and the rain in Phoenix dropped the vis down nice and low.. not to mention the standing water on the runway. this is NOT what I expected when I moved to Phoenix! 2 Quote

I would still trade places with you. @YooperRocketMan and I have snow up to our ears now - literally. We got 67” just in February so far. I was trying to snowblow a path toward my shed to get to my snowmobile but I gave up today. It is mayhem here and we have another foot or two coming tomorrow night.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3 Quote

It'll be 80° here soon, like an hour or two. Tried to beat the heat by cutting down trees this morning (one big oak tree that was shading the garden, and a few small trees with problems). Didn't work . . . I avoided the heavy work, leaving it to the people who wanted the wood, but am trying to stop sweating before getting in the shower. We're having a neighborhood cookout at the pool this afternoon. Kids were swimming while we were working . . . . Quote

tigers2007 Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 I just spent five hours shoveling snow off of roofs with the father in law. I really thought one of us was going to get a burial at sea after having a heart attack and sliding off into the snowy abyss. Was in excess of five feet at their lake house with layers of 2” ice. I have no idea how their garage roof didn’t collapse yet. It’s gonna be a rough winter for the insurance companies. 1 Quote
thinwing Posted February 23, 2019 Report Posted February 23, 2019 I guess I shouldn’t complain about having to replace that little trim piece on my upper deck due to water damage Quote
INA201 Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 I'll go ahead and give you guys the synopsis here in SC. Record rainfall for us in this area of the southeast the past year and starting this year. We haven't had many severe clear flying days this winter like we usually see. Quote

Stephen Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 @KLRDMD was in Tucson this weekend for the rodeo. The snow on the Catalinas still looked beautiful when I headed out of town to go to LA for the week. Lots of snow on the California mountains as well. Quote

Andy95W Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 Interestingly, Dan, you're both missing my point and proving it at the same time. Our diversity, whether environmental or political, makes us better. A country that has both people like you and people like Bernie Sanders is stronger for it. E Pluribus Unum = Out of many, One. 3 Quote

You know, I heard a 22 year old graduate student recently say "if you don't have people in your life with a wide range of viewpoints, then that's not really something to be proud of." Dan208 Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 I agree , I just love America. I will not stand by and watch it become Venezuela. You can have all of the " ideas " you want . Alot of American Heros died to to give us what we have . Over my dead body will we lose it That's all . If it's so great there , go .Rant over , back to airplanes. They don't raise my blood pressure.
