  1. Hi gang. I hope this messages finds you well and safe. I did end up getting the big sailboat, a Privilege 39 catamaran (https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/privilege-39 ) and am refitting it for full time live-aboard starting mid 2023. I have a bunch of mooney/aviation stuff for sale that I need to get up on classifieds here and probably will be doing so soon. Kind regards, Stephen
  2. The other planes are in hangars?
  3. See, other than the odd Boeing, this really seems to be a Cessna thing...
  4. @Culver LFA Any ideas on how to go the other direction; any spare parts laying around?
  5. It may just be a Cessna thing....
  6. There definitely is an empty hangar in KHAE, I just swept it out last night.
  7. Awesome, hope you made it home well; great job on the ferry and NICE views on the last flight. Did you get some good pics of Sedona?
  8. Yeah, my point was that the inboard edge of the elevators hit the ground and that might create a new set of "unofficial" trim tabs, but they looked ok when it was back on its nose due to melting ice.
  9. @Culver LFA Great ferry job , brutal head winds. If anyone else needs a ferry pilot and if he is willing, Joe was fantastic to work with and very capable, knowledgeable.
  10. One of our MS'ers flying the plane from Missouri out to California to deliver to the new owners: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N9150V
  11. Yeah, The tie down rings are in front of the wheels so probably would help to make sure the wings are more taunt if you expect this kind of stuff and particularly if it going to be gusty...
  12. Heh, I moved it horizontal for him so he is good. I think there is tons of clearance on those.
  13. That sounds great, Mrs. Stephen and I are both in! I'll PM.
  14. Yeah, hopefully when the pilot returns he does a very thorough preflight....might be two newly installed trim tabs on the elevators. I called our local MX, they said they would reach out to the owner.
  15. I'm quite sure they are not flying today! This ice storm did a pretty amazing job of shredding my trees :/
  16. MS'er Joe B. Is here with me at KHAE and , when the weather cooperates,, is going to ferry N9150V to the west coast for the new owners. On the ramp we noticed this Cessna with what is apparently a strange new vortex generator configuration that works so well that the plane wants to start flying even in 0 wind !
  17. Nice 4x4 moves there Paul...and with a trailer!
  18. Thanks Dan, the CO detector is definitely going on the boat! I will try to locate Dave and Ruth, great suggestion; do they have a MS handle?
  19. Thanks Paul! I follow about 30 sailing channels and have been binging pretty intensely for about two years. If I may go waaaay off forum for a moment, for those interested in vicariously exploring the world with Paul and I, here are some of the better sailing channels on youtube are: https://www.youtube.com/c/SVSeeker/videos <-- WOW https://www.youtube.com/c/SailingSoulianis/videos <-- Fun to follow for a newbie couple...purchased in Great Lakes, sailed down IL and Mississippi River and to the BVI/Bahamas/back to FL, then got struck by lightning....DOH. Excellent production/narration https://www.youtube.com/c/SailingZatara/videos <-- Lately they are stuck in Fiji and it is mostly kite-surfing...first couple of seasons are great though. Also Keith, a Texan, sometimes says what he really thinks and has to pull the video down later... The teen stuff is kinda : P https://www.youtube.com/c/SailingNahoa/videos https://www.youtube.com/c/RiggingDoctor/videos (not a huge fan of the wife's singing and ukulele...but otherwise very interesting) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZlcV5QCjzJB6Kr6-0HafYQ/videos < This guy is kind of like a German sailing Bob Ross https://www.youtube.com/c/WindHippieSailing/videos < - no awards on high-production but this young lady gets huge props on big hoodzpah https://www.youtube.com/c/FreeRangeSailing/videos <-- good technical boat repair content https://www.youtube.com/c/gonewiththewynns/videos <--- good production, decent content...wife "Niki" is occasionally copiously verbos e https://www.youtube.com/c/LadyKSailing/videos <-- Decent survey of boat brand history and some good technical content I'll be around; you guys are the best! Stephen
  20. Thanks Whiskey...if we have success with the title boat, we likely will go to a mid-size in a couple of years. So the bigger O'Day or a Tartan or something similar with improved off-shore capabilities may be next. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Wow, I don't know how much I have contributed - literally infinitesimal compared to others on this thread - but I was deeply rewarded and very much appreciative of the MS community exchange !
  22. Thanks Don, it was a sincere privilege meeting you and interacting on MooneySpace!
