I’ll try my Lock and Lube next summer.

To release the zerk, unscrew the end of the grease fitting from its body and the pawls will get loose. Yeah, it’s a pain to do it that way, but it keeps from breaking the zerks.

I just greased my gear tonight. I bought the Lock-N-Lube adapter set. This was my first time using them. Their 90 degree adapter worked amazingly well on the two zerks on the nose gear you can’t get with the lock-N-Lube. The metal nozzle in the kit worked perfect on the busted out front zerks on the main gear pivots. Money well spent.

Tons of useful information, but I still do not know if I need to buy 3018 or 12-36 zerks for the aft main gear bearings :)

It would help to know which model you have and the serial number. According to the M20J IPC a 3019 press in fitting was used up through SN 24-0763 and a MS15001-1 threaded fitting was used thereafter.

On my 67F that requires a alemite 3018.   6-40 threaded

Thanks. My 67E should use the same. It is threaded as I was able to unscrew the remnants of the fitting. Will buy 3018 now.

I just bought a kit myself, but if I were you, I’d buy them both, they are cheap
