Yeah.  Nothing goes as fast and far burning the least fuel possible as a M20J and I traded it for two fuel thirsty IO-550’s just in time for fuel prices skyrocketing.  I’m learning LOP Ops pretty quick!

It seems from reading this thread that step one in upgrading a panel in a J is to just go ahead and take the entire panel and radio stack out.

It is now, I did it in stages (entire radio stack, G5s, then G3X), but today it would do complete refurbishment in this order:
Avionics (replacing defrost hoses)
Interior (& glass replacement if needed)
Paint

I did not buy it back, I own a paint, interior, and avionics shop. The guy I sold it to brought it back for the Avionics work.
