G'day there to all those enjoying Oshkosh. I hope to one day.

But could someone please take a look at some M20F's parked there? In particular the links on the main gear.

It was suggested to me I look to change out the link on the left as the threaded zerk hole goes directly in the bushing area.

But what has me puzzled was links came up for sale on the net and they were the same as mine. One grease nipple/zerk hole directly into the bushing and the other away a bit from the bushing hole.

If others are the same, are they sided? Such as the hole drilled directly into the bushing, always on the left main gear, or otherwise.

Also these switches below, if anyone comes across electrical switches like these, a source please? Or similar.

Many thanks,

Denis.

I don’t know about the links, but when you move away from the switches used by the factory, the options are overwhelming.  Companies like Mouser can almost certainly duplicate your switches.

Search for mini rocker switches, filter on white curved actuators O/I markings, SPST.

That should get you down to less than 25 choices (Digikey showed 27).

Pick appropriate amp rating.

It looks like they don’t have any in stock, you’ll need to order well ahead of time.

I think I saw those, but I notice that the orientation of the “1” at the “on” end is different.

There is an almost infinite combination of colors and graphics. You will have to go through the configurator and get a complete part number and search for that. Their sales department can probably help. If you want to buy 10 or more, you may be able to order them directly from carling and get exactly what you want.

I was just poking about in some of the links provided by others (above), and on the Carling site, they allow selection of "On/Off" vs "1/0" and, within the 1/0 selection you can further select either "1/0 Horizontal" or "1/0 Vertical".  The choices are mind boggling.

Thanks guys. I've been off the air for a few days, but did have a play with the links last night. Yes, lots of options. My next task on this front is to convince/explain to my electrical man that this is the path.

Any 'F' model guys out there that can take a look at their gear retracting links for me please?
