Rare find…

Few sealed gel cell Gill batteries in the wild around here…

Combined with BatteryMinder’s battery specific nature….

Good luck with the hunt…

And report on how well this particular Gill battery does… :)

did you see this one? maybe it's not the right one?

That is the S2 that is supposed to be for all Gill except the LT 7000.

I’m struggling with the idea of having a charger for a battery type. And I wonder…isn’t that S2 better than no tender?  I really wonder if the difference results in 2 months less of life or 2 years?  I really have no idea and I’m a little skeptical that it matters. I’m on the fence with getting a $260 or even a $100 one when I have a new $50 car version that is probably better than nothing. I mean the maintainer is as much as a replacement battery practically. I’m not sure I could recover the investment in my lifetime and that’s if I stayed with Gill LT7000 batteries for the rest of it.

I think I’m talking myself out of this fancy style maintainer again.

Expect the battery chemistry difference probably relates to how charged the battery can get…

Since the voltage isn’t linear…

It is hard to tell how good/bad connecting to the other type of BatteryMinder really is…

What we know…

A Concorde on a Concorde specific charger… lasts 6+ years…

Old Gill, on an old Gill specific charger… lasts 2 years…

What we don’t know…

New Gill, on. Gill specific charger…. ?  (Some around here are only about two years old… no complaints yet…)

Mixing battery and BatteryMinder… ? (No recommendations for the mix and match…)

Its a kind of expensive gamble to find out….  Too many variables to predict…

hopefully the base Gill gel cell battery is really good…

See who you can contact at Gill, and BatteryMinder…see what they say…. :)
