I'm aluminum tubing it, and quite jealous! Delta ATL-->BDL on Sunday, home yesterday; today was American, ATL-->FTW, continuing tomorrow FTW-->PEK-->SZX. Coming home next Friday. Back to back like this, the contrast between airlines is quite dramatic--American is all about audio recordings instead of people talking into the intercom, and the least little turbulence turned o  the seatbelt light, played another recording and had stews prowling the aisle chanting "seatbelts, seatbelts". Delta is defintely better . . . Only 18 hours with American tomorrow,  then 21 more home next week. At least the boss sprung for Economy Plus.

Please post lots of flights this weekend, so I can enjoy them vicariously from the land of almost no GA.

Soon as I recover from jet lag, or sometime Sunday or Monday week while I'm off, one little short Mooney is gonna get some exercise!

No pictures, but I went out to get some landings in for night currency. Mine would have expired today and we will be making a trip to AZ arriving after dark this weekend.

Got to the hangar and did preflight and then cleaned her up while waiting for darkness to arrive...

While sitting in the run up area going through everything another Mooney came on the frequency taxiing down from the west end. Nobody else on the radio so I took the chance to invite him to the KPRB Fly In (we have to get more planes than those Texas folk). He didn't know about it but is based out of San Luis Obispo so said he will probably come.

After getting my landings in, fueling her up, and putting her away I drove around and slipped invitations to the fly in  under the hangar doors where I know two Mooneys are on the field and then left invitations on three more that are tied down, slipping them between the flap and the wing, sticking out where they will see it when they go to step up in the wing walk. (Did I mention the effort to get more planes out than the Texas people? :D

Any day you get to fly to work is a good day. Tucson to San Carlos Apache (KAVQ-P13). OK, it is a Baron, but still . . .

Nice! Even includes a yaw string on the windshield.

My non-equity partner is doing his multi-training.

I go there once in a while for cheap fuel, but sometimes this happens:

After I got home I checked NOTAMs and they'd posted one that the pump was out about the time I was leaving there.   I imagined this happening:

Dude:   There's somebody at the pump.

Dude2:  It doesn't work.
Dude:  We should post a NOTAM.

Dude2:  Done.

Dude:  He's leaving.
Dude2:   Musta seen the NOTAM.

Dude and Dude2 high five each other.

This is strange. Our pump in the northeast had the same error message.

Where's the fuel at P13 ? I go there a couple  times a week and have never seen it, nor have I seen a single person there ever.

Not by the buildings, it's on the east end of the little parking pad just across from the Casino.   It's not super reliable, this is the 2nd time I've gone there and it's been down.

I took Friday PM off from work and did a couple of instrument approaches in actual IMC. Tops about 3000, bases around 1100.

I can' find them on a satellite view either. I'll be there a week from tomorrow again and will look.

Yes, they're not in the sat pic, they're only a year or two old and Google hasn't updated the sat pics in eons.   Upper right corner of that ramp, though.

I may fly out there tomorrow and look. I have an unscheduled day off.

Easter flight to the big city for Easter family festivities.   20 minute flight or hour 10 minutes driving.  Mrs. Yetti pushed for flying due to the traffic on the return trip.      She is a smart lady.   29790371_2161276730556154_19577191824800

Easter in Lincoln, was our first time flying there nice airport and as always turned a two plus hour drive into a half an hour flight.  Had a great day with our family,  trip home had us into a pretty strong headwind but still made good time Snoopy performed well but is time for an oil change and next month is my BFR. Hard to believe how fast time passes.

You must have been making one serious low pass to take that shot of the traffic that day

I sent the drone over for that shot....  JK.    borrowed from another person's facebook page.   That traffic is 60 miles from Houston on 290..   sad.
