Mike -- just registered.

Cool! I'll finally get to meet more of the NJ gang.

Anthony, are you coming too? Be careful, it was over 60° in the afternoon last year, you'll need shorts and sunscreen. :P

Sign up now. It's easier to cancel than to add in late.

Well, it took a day longer to fill up than last year, and we have more spouses this year! We are accepting standby reservations now. Don't be discouraged, everyone that signed up as standby last year were able to come due to cancellations, etc.

Thanks to Nick, we now have a link on www.mooneysummit.com for signup, along with a link for paypal donations

On behalf of the entire Mooney Summit team, thank you for your support and interest in this great event. We truly want to "better the breed" of Mooney Pilots and have quantifiable results so far!

Mike,

Any plans to add specific seminars for non-pilot spouses?  Something similar to Jolie’s 'Right Seat Ready.’  Or better yet, have Jolie come down.

Jolie and Jan Maxwell did RSR at Summit last year and Nancy attended and enjoyed it. J&J did RSR at MooneyMax in May and plan to take it around the country about 4 times a year. Remember, Summit has no registration fee and as far as I know presenters are not compensated, even for travel.

Not at this time, Kevin. 2 years ago, CarolAnn Garratt did an outstanding "Partner in Command" course and last year, Jan and Jolie did their excellent Right seat ready. This year, CarolAnn is off in Europe somewhere and wont be able to attend.

Jan and Jolie have their course offered about 4 times this year at various places, and have went to a fee based model for the course.

There is still a slim possibility that Ron Jarmon will get the Redbird Sim in time for the Mooney Summit, and would make this available for those that have attended CarolAnn's or Jan's courses on Thurs and Fri.

We very well may put the Companion course back in for next year. We don't want to become stale with the same subjects every year, so it was decided not to add it again this year. Besides, with what JoAnn Dubin has planned, (wine tasting, Art show, and a few other possibilities), we might not see our "partners in command" for days :)

Bob and Mike,

Thanks, I wanted to attend D-Max's program with my wife this year, and she agreed to attend, but I deployed that weekend.

I completly understand the intrest in keeping the price down (can't beat free), just thought I would ask.  I am trying to get my wife more excited about flying, she is already picking up on radio calls and makes a good co-pilot, but it's always easier is someone else does the teaching.

It is a good experience for a non pilot, Nancy has taken more interest and is more willing to touch things. She's only been sitting in the right seat about 47 years.

Check with MooneyGirl for when another RSR might be coming to your neighborhood.

Kevin,

Jolie and Jan are going to provide their 'right seat ready' course at MAPA homecoming Oct 20th. The cost for this is $100/person above the MAPA registration if you are interested and can make that also.

That is sad news, that Jan and Jolie won't be doing their class again.

My spouse, Tammy, attended and wanted to attend a second time. If you can verify enough interest in the class ... would it still be a possibility?

I would agree to a fee, to help cover their expenses ....

It is a great class.

Jan is coming to the Summit, if she wants to do the course, I'll see if I can get the Theatre to use, but we wont have a fee. All of our subject matter experts like Bob Kromer, Don Maxwell, CarolAnn Garratt etc. give their time and do this from the kindness and passion they have, as does the Board and many other volunteers. They do this to help us without any remuneration other than they can deduct travel expenses.

Jan and Jolie will be at MAPA homecoming also for a small additional fee ($100 I think) as an option. http://www.mooneygirls.com/right-seat-ready.html

David, your registered. Did you get the first correspondence dated 8/16?

My wife is coming to FL and is interested in the right seat course.  Did I hear you correctly that if there are enough takers such a course could be put together?
