since the prop needs repair or replacement due to impact,,, would this trigger a prop strike engine tear down/inspection requirement? not sure how the requirements are worded,,, but i think this meets them!

hey op... do your senders have the wrong diameter cork floats on them?? too big, will float to full to the top, until the gas has gone way down,,, too big, will float too high with a partial tank of gas, and if they are too big in diameter,, when the have no gas to float on,,, they will still show gas in the tank, even though there is No gas for them to float on...

1 dead in small plane crash in Whatcom County Updated: Feb 12, 2018 - 10:59 PM A pilot was found dead after a small plane crash in Whatcom County on Monday evening, authorities said. Crews were called at about 9:45 p.m. after a plane had been reported missing at 8 p.m. The plane wreckage was found near Fragrance Lake by Chuckanut Mountain. Authorities said the pilot was found dead inside the plane and it appears the pilot was the only one on board. According to the FAA, the aircraft was traveling from Paine Field to Bellingham.

here is what i think i know,,, neither overspeed was for sure 3000 rpm,,, your tach over reads by 50 rpm,, sooo true rpm was 2950 max,,, that is Less than 10% overspeed!! the 1st time was a surprise, but you were ready for the 2nd time,, you were in take off mode and i would bet your right hand was still on the engine controls, if the surge was obvious,,, and you noticed Right Now!! you could have easily and instinctively reduced power or propeller speed Within 3 seconds!!! Read the SB,, you very well could be in the all clear.. still need to correct what made it happen..
