It's doggy for a Long Body, but better than the lower HP Eagle...

To measure yours specifically, on your own. Try the app, CloudAhoy. Available from the App Store.

This is a quote from the mechanic that flies the Bravo and has upgraded an O and an Eagle to the 310HP (n) engine and TopProp.

T/O distance:

O3 < O1 < Bravo < Eagle

HP...

O3 > O1 > Bravo > Eagle. 310, 280, 260, 240hp (I think...?)

T/O distance...

O3 800'

O1 1,200'

Bravo=

Eagle=

I am assuming you're new to the Bravo hence your question.

One thing about the Bravo is that it is a weak initial climber in high/hot conditions.  This is due to the selection of the prop design...optimized for cruise, not climb.  So while ground roll is important, an even more important consideration for takeoff planning (at least to me) are shorter runways with obstacles at the end during the summer...the obstacles can become a limiting factor.  Best technique in the Bravo for takeoffs in all high/hot conditions is to fly in ground effect for a bit down the runway until the speed builds (gear/flap retracted) to 100+ knots and then begin the climb away from the airport.

In cold temps, the Bravo has no issues with initial climb.

Attachments are made easier using TapaTalk to acces MooneySpace.

TapaTalk is available in your app store neighborhood.

It's been so long since I used it, I am unable to say anymore about it...
