Hi all, just thought I would say hello! I recently bought a 1967 M20F with a couple of other guys. Looking forward to the flying and the fun.

Our aircraft has been sitting hangared for quite a while so we are doing all the updates, a very complete inspection, prop overhaul etc before taking it airborne.

Cheers, Gary

Gary, welcome! We are nearby in Seattle. My first M20 was an F, between my wife and I we have owned 4 different Mooneys. What kind of updates did you do?

Hello Gary-

Welcome to MooneySpace and to Mooney Ownership!  My first Mooney was also a 1967 F model.  I loved that airplane.  There is a lot of collective wisdom here on MooneySpace so anytime you have any questions, concerns, or fun stories to report, please do not hesitate to share with the rest of us.

Take care,

By "updates" I mean all of the yearly/timed out items... prop, elt, alitmeter etc. We will also be installing tires, replacing flex hoses etc. This airplane did not fly for 7 years so we want to do pre-emptive maintenance on the systems. {all three partners are Aircraft Maintenance Engineers  :} } The aircraft has the 201 windshield and a few other speed mods already, new interior plastic, older but servicable panel.

I flew a M20C years ago so I have a "slight idea" of what to expect , still going to get a good check out from a friend/cfi with Mooney time.

Onwards and upwards!

Cheers, Gary

Well, one more item to add to our growing list... just bought a brand new "Top Prop" from AC Prop in Seattle. After some deliberation regarding the inspection AD on our old prop, and the fact that there is no-one to do the Eddie current in Victoria we decided to go new.

So... if anyone is needing blades, etc for an older Hartzell prop, let me know! Actually the whole prop would be good for an uncertified a/c , homebuilt etc. It only has 140 hrs since overhaul and looks brand new.

Cheers, Gary

ps our airplane has a Pathfinder autopilot {Astronautics M2} in it and the PC actuator is disconnected. Anybody out there have any info on this system such as a shop manual or ???

We left the old Prop in Seattle with AC Propeller Service to measure out and sell for us.  Contact Mike there at 1-800-253-7556  He can give you all the info and Specs on the the blades.
