GI275 and KAP150 a/p

Is anyone aware of compatibility issues with these two units? The newest Installation Manuals I can find online are from 2020. Are there revisions/updates since then?

I believe Garmin only makes the primary flight instrument installation manual available to dealers.

I was just talking to an avionics shop about this and they said the GI275 WILL drive a KAP150.

You do have to watch the Garmin "compatibility" charts.   Garmin says that a G3X is compatible with the KAP150, except they don't tell you it will only supply heading/course info.  You still need to keep the King Attitude Indicator or install a GI275.    A G5 will not work.

Actually, I misspoke. My a/p is a KFC150 (adds FD) I note the other topic for a KAP150 but I don’t know if that is similar enough to provide comparison. The installation manual is the issue at the moment.

I have a set of 275s, KFC150 and the altitude pre-select module.

Garmin has a diagram that has the exact pinouts between the KFC150 and GI-275, there is no guess work. Hook it up, take the 5 minutes to configure it in the 275 and it works great.
