Wind 17G35. From the looks of his aileron position, it was a right crosswind. Perfectly acceptable to line up on the upwind side of centerline IMO. I was taught that technique in the Navy flying T-34s. Worked like a champ. :)

I knew that this would come up. Indeed I am a fanatic of centerline take offs and landings! But on this occasion my thought was exactly that because of the wind I should be upwind... good to know that it was something that made sense..
