Hello All!

This two days ago I took delivery of N74573 a B model serial #1884. I am very excited to be an active part of the Mooney community and learn as much as I can about airplane ownership. I would love to hear from other B Model owners about some of the idiosyncratic behaviors unique to their B models. I now have about 10 hours dual and excited to go out flying today and build a good deal of solo time to really feel comfortable and know the plane.

If you have a B model speak up! If you have any tips please let me know. If you are in SoCal and curios to see an M20B let me know I’ll be flying all day.

Also any words of encouragement regarding my ever growing squawk list is appreciated as well.

Cool! Zack’s old bird! I thought that was a really clean airframe. I liked the dual exhaust. Congrats!

It is! Zach did such a good job with the interior. Real nice guy!

Way to go Trent!

Are you getting training today?

Best regards,

I completed my 10 hours dual the past two days. Today I’m going up to start getting my solo hours.

I had a B N74562 #1873 - nice bird. I bought a C now and have been flying an F. B flys a bit different  - less rudder and flaps but fun for sure. Looks like they split the fuel gauge from a shared to dual...

congrats! It will be fun...

Congratulations on the purchase.  I think you will really enjoy it.  We will have to go flying sometime - I assume you will be flying it to Portland soon.  My annual is done but now I'm waiting for a new set of rotors.

Yes absolutely! I am dealing with a couple squawks now before I make the trip up north but should be in the neighborhood in the next week or so.
