Any Mooney Owners In Asheville, NC?

Pretty new instrument private pilot. 147 hours Since Dec 2019. I live in Asheville, NC and one day I hope to own my own airplane. It's in my 5 year plan. A Mooney is at the top of the list and would love to go fly in own. I'm just wondering if anyone in Asheville (KAVL) or the surrounding area owns one that would want to go flying?

I would guess someone is nearby, but @AGL Aviation is a mooney service center in morganton, and they have quite a bit of mooney traffic.

If you have Mooney questions... they have Mooney answers...

Nothing like visiting an MSC to see all the similarities and differences between planes...

I'm down the road in Greenville, SC.  Plane is currently in the shop for an avionics upgrade, but if you haven't found anyone by the time she's done I'd be happy to take you up.

@BobI actually do my flying out of Greenville. Thats where I got my instrument rating at Greenville aviation. Where are you having your upgrades done at?

We overhauled the engine and installed a GPS, Transponder, 2nd G5, audio panel, and engine monitor.  You can follow the upgrade here:

Awesome! The 650 and 2xG5 makes it a great ifr platform.
