Any suggestions? I have reloaded the SD cards and restocked the GIA63's without any success. Any thoughts will be appreciated. G1000 works fine even with the alert. KJ

Your plane looks to be about 10 serial numbers above mine, so are you still on the S-TEC or do you have the GFC700? I saw that alert one time and it was because some maintenance person had turned off the A/P, which I never do. Once I got the A/P turned on it went away. The G1000 manual doesn't say much more because it could be any failed path that would trigger the alert.

Have you checked the system status page to see if you have any red X's showing up?

You may want to check and make sure each PDF card and MDF card have the same database versions.  I have seen where one one may retain the old version causing this issue.  Browse to each card on a PC and make sure they are the same.  If not manually delete the old folder and download it again.

I get that message when I turn on the power, but it goes away after startup and loading the flight plan. There is a 2nd warning message about the flight plan as well, but again they go away as you prep the G1000 for flight.

I agree with all three above , although most of the time I get it from annual I get the alert and turn on the A/P the way the switches are set up across the bottom if you accidentally turn off the ap you get the instant msg

I had that message intermittently the first year I owned the Bravo.  It eventually went away after a couple of annuals and I've only seen similar twice: once was the AHRS (re-docked)  and another time was a GIA.. (went away during debugging).   But those were specific path errors,  not the generic path fail. 

Rather than checking all LRU's you can find the affected path by following the maintenance manual.  A Failed path message should not be related to the database cards, but to communications among the LRU's... Since there are redundant paths between many of the devices the system will still work with a single failed path.

There is a Mooney specific manual as well, but I can't find a current link.   

Start with the AUX page..  all LRU's should show green, or indicate a problem.   Beyond that you will need Maint/Config mode. (Section 4)

I have a g1000 acclaim with the gfc700.  

I turn my autopilot off at shutdown.  I get that message when I shut it off and when I start up until I turn on the autopilot.

the alert persist throughout the entire flight no matter what.  I have also checked the Aux page and all of my equipments are working with green check marks. I have reloaded the data cards to make sure data is matching in the PFD and MFD. I have GFC 700 and I have also played with autopilot switch as suggested above.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. This is alert is just annoying! lol

You have one failed path from any of the LRU's to the G1000. You can find basic errors in the status page on the MFD. IF they aren't shown there, you need a technician to get into maintenance mode and check the configuration. And restore it to the correct configuration. This is not something for the unfamiliar since you can make a lot of errors if you don't know the system.

My response may not be relevant anymore but just in case others experience the same error I would like to report here that this error message was resolved in my case by turning on the AP Power switch on. Not sure how it got to the off position in the first place.

my airplane is an Ovation 2 GX (G1000) with a GFC 700 autopilot.

As a system check, go to the aux chapter system page and review all the Green checks to make sure they are all OK and no red X on the componentry prior to taxi as a after startup check. This eliminates the taking off with a dysfunctional system. If your system check of trim in both directions doesnt provide a positive feedback to your hand on the trim wheel, most likely you dont have the ap switch on and you will be in for a treat if you launch this way, right Mathias? :)

I have resolved some errors by carefully reracking the GIA's a couple of times when the plane had developed what I believed to be a bit of pin corrosion on the rack pins. This is a sensitive op however as those itty bitty pins are easily messed up.
