DrBill Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 What weather tool do you use for 48 hrs ahead ? TAFs are good for 24hrs. I'm using weather.com and yahoo weather but not ideal. Bill Quote
Oscar Avalle Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 I use " storm" an iphone app, similar to weather.com Quote
flight2000 Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 I've been using the National Weather Service (http://www.weather.gov/). Found them to be a little more accurate than both weather.com and most of the other "commercial" sites. Cheers, Brian Quote
Marauder Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 Depending on what you are looking for NOAA's site has a variety of multi-day forecasts. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Piloto Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 I use www.aviationweather.gov which is taylor for pilots. It is fast and accurate. José 1 Quote
Deb Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 www.wunderground.com, along with aviationweather.gov. 1 Quote
jlunseth Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 +1 on aviationweather.gov. Go to Forecasts>Prog Charts>Surface and then up at the top there is a button that let's you progress through time. Watch the valid time though. The chart might say 48 hours, but it might be several hours old. The valid time is when the forecast is good for. These charts and the Qty. Precip charts are all collected in one place in Foreflight. Weather 48 hours out is not all that accurate though, regardless of what source you use. Quote
N601RX Posted March 12, 2016 Report Posted March 12, 2016 I like USAirnet, it goes out 3 days and all the parameters are graphical so it only takes a quick look. Also the new MOS reports Foreflight added to the weather tab goes out 48 hrs. http://www.usairnet.com/cgi-bin/launch/code.cgi?state=AL&sta=KTOI 1 Quote
DrBill Posted March 13, 2016 Author Report Posted March 13, 2016 Thanks to all for the replies. Usairnet.com is nice even gives cloud bases. Bill 1 Quote

navysix Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 I've recently found a new one I like. http://meteoblue.com Scroll down to the "Meteogram - 5 Days". Quote
Jeff_S Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 USAirnet is really good and a quick way to get the most important stats. I also use the MAV/MOS charts which you can find here: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/mdl/forecast/graphics/MAV/ They are good graphical presentation of lots of different data that matter. Interestingly, these are the same charts that ForeFlight incorporated into their advanced weather briefing tools last year. Quote
garytex Posted March 16, 2016 Report Posted March 16, 2016 The weather channel weekly planner is pretty handy too Quote
