The first year having my PPL, I was excited to fly anything.  After a while, I wanted something different.  The mooney definitely hit the spot.

My wife says you and I are both a bit "disturbed".

Relax this is a perfectly normal reaction to buying a new airplane like getting a new girlfriend or toy for Christmas.:)

The only difference is you will get bored with the toy or girlfriend faster than you will with the pane.:P

Its easy to agree with you. I got my old M20E because I had read about Mooney's efficiency. I wasn't disappointed. The other thing I like to do with airplanes is bush flying and for that I'd like a C-180 but those are much more expensive and if I did that I might as well build a camp off in some isolated place so even more expensive, both in time and money.  Perhaps some kind of time-share that would include a hunting-fishing camp in some secluded place and a cessna 180 on floats would be the ticket.

For airport flying and getting my instrument rating though its Mooney 100%. I like being able to go fast or slow down and burn less per mile than a 150.

I've been doing it almost 31 years and still feel that way.  Isn't "losing it" a wonderful thing?  :-)

and the plane is arguably cheaper than the girlfriend.

Hey that's where I'm at! Look for me in the Mooney hat. Lol

Yep.  Sounds like you have been infected!  You should know, there is no known cure.  You can occasionally ease the symptoms by judicious application of 100LL.

A word of warning...  don't give her a name or all your money will disappear!  I, myself, was warned too late. :)

Congrats on the new mistress!

I know what you mean Jim. Nothing like a hottie in a bikini.

Boy am I glad she shaves down there.

Then again, I'm really not sure what I'm actually looking at.

I really don't think she has seen "down there" in years. Who knows what is going on down there. The last guy who attempted to find out has not been seen since.

BTW - what you are looking at is the love child of Mama Cass and Jabba the Hutt.
