One of my high school cheerleaders drove a Volare wagon, purple-maroon with fake wood panels. But hey, it had the rear spoiler to keep the back window from getting too dirty . . . Those were the days, hot chicks and sh!tty rides . . .

Not to be outdone VW had a Bug Wagon in early 70's...Bright yellow with I will scorch your @$$ upon entry black vinyl interior. For some reason my parents thought "That's the one". Without strong self-esteem that could have destroyed a 16 year old in the High School Parking Lot :)

I have a '67 M20F and the original log books. The plane got repainted before I owned it, and I don't have any old pictures of the plane. I'd really like to know what the original color scheme looked like. Does anyone know how to determine the original color? Better yet, did Mooney document the look of the plane as it came off the assembly line?
