kurtsnyder Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 The time has finally come for me to sell my beloved plane! It was a difficult decision, but I need to simplify my life since I'm going to be starting a new flying job and won't be flying the Mooney enough to justify keeping it. I put close to 275 hours on it since I bought it 2.5 years ago and flown to 12 states in her. I also got my instrument and commercial tickets in it. It's been a GREAT airplane! I've tried to put as much info below as I could. Please feel free to email me or call me with any questions or if you're interested. I will be uploading more pictures later, specifically of the interior. The front seats are currently being reupholstered and therefore I waited to get any interior pics. My info: kurtsnyder @ gmail.com or 6I5-8I2-44OO Flown regularly. Hangared. Oil samples frequently sent for analysis and all have been normal. $40,000 OBO N74795 1961 Mooney M20B 4732 total time airframe Last Annual- 09/26/13 Engine/Prop- 767 SMOH on O-360 engine by Mattutuck Compressions at last annual: 77/77/77/78 734 TSN prop Hartzell Prop with no AD New Stainless exhaust system from Aerospace Welding – 09/2011 Brackett air filter Spin on oil filter Skytec 149NL high torque lightweight starter Concord RG35 sealed battery Harrison oil cooler InterAv Alternator conversion Panel/Avionics- Southwest Texas 201 panel mod Garmin 430 non-WAAS Garmin MX20 MFD Garmin Apollo SL70 Transponder w/remote ident Sandel 3308 EFIS King KG102-A remote gyro Insight GEM G2 color engine monitor FS450 Fuel flow King KMA28 Audio panel Overhauled Attitude Indicator 10/2013 General- Whelen Comet three place strobes Whelen LED Landing light New front seat Shoulder harnesses and lap belts installed Recent gear overhaul w/new springs Gear and flaps are manual New interior - 9 out of 10 Paint 6 out of 10 - some chipping on the leading edges, but no chalkiness or peeling any where else. TWinter Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Very clean looking plane. Anytime you need a Mooney fix stop by Dyersburg. Good luck Quote

Thanks for the info, Alan! I haven't had time to go through the logs and have a full spec sheet. I will say that it is the King KG102 gyro. I agree that you put a ton of money and effort into this girl. And yes, whoever ends up with it, is gonna have a great plane! I already made my purchase ... But VERY NICE AIRPLANE!!!! I am sure you will have no trouble selling her ... Still sure you want to? I'd love to keep it, but it's just going to be too difficult to keep up with maintenance and expenses on commuter FO pay. Plus, I'm going to be doing a ton of flying. My wife and I decided that the easiest thing to do is simplify. I'm hoping that maybe in the future I can get into a partnership. Believe me, this was not an easy decision! Quote
Dave Marten Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Kurt, Great airplane. Tough choice, but a wise decision - short term loss for a long term gain! I'm sure you'll have no trouble passing her off to another deserving pilot. Getting paid to do something you love is my definiton of success. Good luck with your flying career! Quote
kurtsnyder Posted April 1, 2014 Author Report Posted April 1, 2014 I've added some interior pics. Apparently, I forgot to take pics of the back seat. http://mooneyspace.com/gallery/image/35232-img-3642/ http://mooneyspace.com/gallery/image/35233-img-3643/ http://mooneyspace.com/gallery/image/35234-/ Quote
Flyingtexan Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 What's the word on this one? Sold? Still for sale? Quote
kurtsnyder Posted April 26, 2014 Author Report Posted April 26, 2014 Yes, it's still for sale. I have a couple of people that are very interested, so I'm hoping it won't be for sale too much longer. Quote
koskito1 Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 Did you sell it? It looks great. Is it still for sale? Quote
kurtsnyder Posted May 12, 2014 Author Report Posted May 12, 2014 Yes, still for sale. I thought it was going to be much easier to sell than this. Haha I've only had a small amount of interest. Quote
lliun Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Well its not official until you post it on Mooneyspace. i am now the new owner of N74795, thanks Kurt for being such a stand-up guy, and say hi to you wife for me, hope to see you both again soon. 6 Quote
carusoam Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 1,500 views... To get to the most important reply! Congrats. Go MS... Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
DaV8or Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Congrats on 795, she sounds like a great ship. Kurt was a great contributor and will be missed, but perhaps you can take his place?? I'm sure that's likely one of the better Bs out there! Heck of a value! Way better than the same money would have bought you in Cessna, Piper, or Beech land. Good job and welcome! 1 Quote
Alan Fox Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Its not one of the better Bs , Its the Best......I poured two years of my life into creating it , flew it for 5 ..... 1 Quote
Marauder Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 I'd love to keep it, but it's just going to be too difficult to keep up with maintenance and expenses on commuter FO pay. Plus, I'm going to be doing a ton of flying. My wife and I decided that the easiest thing to do is simplify. I'm hoping that maybe in the future I can get into a partnership. Believe me, this was not an easy decision! Yeah, I totally get you. I too commute to fly for work. The last thing I feel like doing ... is flying another airplane ... when I just got home from flying several days ... even a nice Mooney. I have to force myself to go to the airport some weeks .... Congrats on the new job. Keep your resume and logs up ... You'll be putting them back out there sooner than you think! I am on my fifth (and hopefully final) airline .... It's a wild ride! Sure you don't want to go to law school? You have no idea how much "simplifying" Kurt has done. I swear he sold everything he owned, including the kitchen sink. I picked up a nice Brightline bag from him. Good luck Kurt! Quote
kmyfm20s Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 My first year FO Commuter pay: $16,249. Based at JFK on reserve, one hour call-out. Good times! There's just not much that beats the fine experience of working for Hulas! That makes me feel safer as a passenger! You didn't have enough money to have a drug or alcohol problem:) 2 Quote
ryoder Posted February 4, 2015 Report Posted February 4, 2015 Really nice airplane. I recommend you put it on controller. Quote
kurtsnyder Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Well its not official until you post it on Mooneyspace. i am now the new owner of N74795, thanks Kurt for being such a stand-up guy, and say hi to you wife for me, hope to see you both again soon. Thanks everybody! Yes, the bird has finally been sold. She ended up getting a WAAS 430 put in her before she got sold. Jeff is super nice guy and it makes me happy the plane went to him. I'll definitely keep checking in on the forums. I'll never lose my love for Mooneys. And yes, I really don't have much desire to fly all the time for fun since I do it all the time for work. I still love flying GA, but right now can't fly it enough to justify the costs of ownership. I tell you that it was an excellent investment for training. I don't know why more people don't buy an airplane and train in it. Beats spending lots of $$$ on rentals. 2 Quote
