Anyone ever use the Mountain High EDS-O2D1 Pulse Demand Oxygen System? Feedback? Anything I need to know before getting one?

I fly with one all the time.  The best system out there for O2 in the cockpit.  It saves 50% or more O2 over anything else available and is simple to use.  Set the altitude you want it to operate at and it does the rest.  Came with my last plane and I was not sure how I would like it.  Now it is one of the things I would not want to do without.  A good friend just installed two of the O2D2 units in his Turbo 210.

Disclaimer:  I am friends with the founder of the company, met him after I had one of the units and now fly with him when we get time.

We use an O2D2 connected to the factory oxygen system of our 252. I'm very happy with it. We flew more than 100 hours since we had the tank filled the last time and it's not empty, yet. I don't know how many of the 100+ hours were on oxygen, maybe half, but certainly more than a third.

You don't get oxygen at evry A/D over here in Europe, so for us it pays twice.

And I'm not affiliated to that company or it's founder ;-)

Love my o2d2. Love it.  Besides that it saves O2 - some other benefits.

You can see and FEEL and hear that you are getting oxygen.  There is no doubt.

You can see since the deliver light blinks - so I can see that I - and my copilot/passenger is getting O2 (nice if it is my teenager or my wife).

You can hear if you are using a mask with mic as I do since as it pulses a delivery it sounds like Darth Vadar breathing.

You can feel the O2 being pushed up your nose each pulse as you breath if it is by cannula.

By the way I use an oxyarm for the nose - much more comfortable than standard cannula.

It's a great product.  The only down side is the cost of the unit.  I have one in my plane, although I anticipate moving to another system- I won't sell oxygen equipment that I don't use myself.

I've recently (as in Friday) launched an web only no frills aviation oxygen company.  My Mooney friends will hear more about this very soon :).  I'm experimenting with regulators/systems, but I sell an oxygen cylinder that's fully compatible with the regulators MH sells for the O2D2 unit.  I've been using a cylinder from my suppler for the last year without any issues.

PS- for the same oxygen capacity I'm selling cylinders for about 50% of the cost of other Aviation brands.  Check it out: www.SkyHighO2.com
